Too much deja vu from T&D ?

Not much originality this year. Even last year they stretched things a bit more, especially with Chloe's choreography. Do T&D exist in a cloud of untouchability as regards criticism ? (I think Jayne would not mind some input from other choreographers/ice dancers, but they would probably need people of equal rank, that is, past Olympic champions. I think Chris would reject anyone else.)

I think its a real shame that the professionals arent allowed more input - I have been watching DOI for a fair few series and have thought they same since the beginning, why do T&D choreograph all the routines?

I think that some of the Judges coments should be aimed at T&D, last night they should have given Jen a routine that involved her showing off her solo skating skills and instead they let her be pulled/pushed/carried by Dan, that isn't Jens fault she would have skated any routine that she was given, but as always the criticsim was aimed at Jen and Dan as it it was their fault whilst T&D stood in the background seemingly oblivious to the fact that they choreographed the routine!

I'm afraid that T&D are passé now as is their style of dance and choreography and we need someone fresh with new ideas. However, I wouldn't dream of taking away their past achievements and skating prowess - who would?

I admire them for what they have acheived but it does need someone to come along and give the choreography a bit of a make over....perhaps Louis could help!

Maybe some of the more recent Olympic Ice Dance champions who have turned professional, with more modern styles. (Virtue and Moir are still competing, so would not be available as of yet.)

Agree been there, seen that X100 but as has been said on here before

- many of the pros are unable to choreograph, you can't have some pros choreographing and others lettingT&D do it, it is either one or the other

- T&D may be choreographing to the celebs weakness and strengths so may not have choreographed a skate alone routine because Jen could not have managed it?

- modern day ice dancers apparently don't want to be associated with a 'low brow' ITV reality show

When they turn professional, ice dancers can be for hire, on tours or tv.

Given she has shown in her training VTs that she could skate alone and she managed the skills test with only a minor stumble at the end of her spin Jennifer showed she was capable of skating on her own. It is not her fault that T&D choreographed her routines the way they did and again I am fed up of Jennifer and Dan getting the blame for lack of whatever in the routine when they aren't responsible for it. IIRC the week that Dan suggested putting something in the routine was one of the weeks that Jennifer got her best scores.

Also yet again it is supposed to be about Ice Dance which is dancing with your partner not Solo Skating that is why they are in a partnership and its called Dancing On Ice based on Ice Dance. If it was about solo skating it should be an entirely different show and T&D wouldn't have been running it. If you want celebs doing solo skating get Robin or Katarina to set up a different show.
