T&D's opening routine last night

We saw hardly any of their actual skating as the patterns projected onto the ice seemed dominant, and the camerawork was almost all long shops or overhead shots.

I was slightly confused as I found it difficult to tell when they were standing or lying due to the angle of the camera.
All too arty-farty for me.

I tend to agree; the camera work never shows any of the pros - T&D included - up close as they do the celebs, which is a shame. Also, what was it with the costumes? Jayne looked as if she hadn't bothered to change from her practice clothes & Chris ..... well, Chris always looks to me as if he just wears what he bought in the 1960s!

I thought it was great. T & D are fabulous and I've always enjoyed watching them, but as of late their routines have seemed fairly predictable to me.

Really thought the opening routine was imaginative and very well choreographed.

Well done

I actually found I couldnt watch it because the swooping camera moves made me feel sea sick.

I enjoyed it....and it reminded me of that 'Virgin' ad.

I liked it, and I generally find there routines a bit 'meh' recently.

It was different and it kept me guessing whether they were standing or lying down... I think due to the projections onto the ice it worked - any other time it would've just been annoying.

I fast forwarded through it all - so boring, arty farty etc. I like real skating.
I hope that DOI next season would introduce School figures as the sole crtieria, although there wouldn't be much dancing but still they could play dance music in the background!

Dare I say it....? and I say it as someone who is much older than them, but...

... by gum, they are starting to show their ages.

To be honest I did'nt enjoy it either and ff through most of it. It seems like they're running out of interesting things to do.

They were trying to do something different, but judging from most of the posts on here they wasted their time.

Sad but true it seems! I really enjoyed it, it was nice to see something quite different and creative - good choice of music as well, although I've seen that track used for a skating routine before!

I thought this also, i mean they are amazing but compared to the speed and moves the other pros have i just find them a bit dull now.

And i dont really want to see a woman her age with legs akimbo on national tv.

I didn't notice that! Not a pretty sight no doubt. My husband wondered if Mr Dean was going to drop dead half way through, he was as white as a sheet (Dean not hubby)

Chris has looked VERY tired this series. They have to give up sometime, surely? And I say that as a huge T&D fan.

I loved the performance - very creative.
However, the camera angles, as so often is the case, were dreadful.
