I noticed it particularly last night at the start of the Ultimate Skills tests and was just curious to know if the contestants can actually see them whilst skating.....

Personally I would find it extremely off putting to have all of that swirling and whirling around at my feet but then again maybe they dont see it with all the spotlights and additional lighting and its just for the viewer.....

I'm sure the skaters can see the special effects, and I would be surprised if they didn't put them off. As a dancer, if we danced where a mirror-ball was swirling the effect if threw on the floor used to make me feel dizzy and sick.
