Partnerships

There are no individual professionals...they bond with their celebrity partner to bring out the very best in them...

Every celebrity is an individual...

They blend with their professional to make a partnership.

* Chico and Joydene have a real bond

* Jorgie and Matt likewise

* Matthew reminds me very much of Chris Fountain...technically brilliant but very much an individual and not a partnership

I think Chico and Joydene are the couple who skate most as a partnership, they both seem to have a lot of respect and concern for each other and I thought it was nice of Chico to thank Sean for giving him help and advice with his lifts this week (although of course now that Sean's out of the competition he has the time to do that now) ... I love watching them skate together as a couple as they're nearly always in time with each other

To me Jorgie (probably unintentionally) doesn't think about the safety of her partner and is a bit too enthusiastic and gung ho in her exhuberance to do the dangerous moves (we've seen in the VT's Matt having to warn her of the dangers and to be more careful) .... but so saying that they do obviously get on

Matthew and Nina have very little connection to me ... I don't recall them having had an emotional pairs based routine yet, they all seem to be upbeat dance numbers .... and Matthew seems to always be dropping her and is a bit clumsy and careless

Matt and Nina are great pals but do not connect on the ice.
Chico only likes himself and the audience.
Jorgie and Matt really connect in the ice. I believe the story they are telling

I disagree - last night's performance from Chico was romantic and demonstrated a great connection with his partner.

Matthew doesn't connect with Nina - they appear as 2 solo skaters doing the same routine.

Jorgie and Matt do have some connection - but too often it's one lift after another.
