We Found Love did astoundingly well however why have her recent singles from her album "Talk That Talk" charted so poorly? Is it due to marketing campaigns? Enlighten me!

Most of her fans have her album & people are slowly getting bored of her. I like You Da One.

You Da One was crap. Possibly her worst single since We Ride. God knows why she released that. I think people are getting board of her though. I'm a massive fan and even i'm getting fed up with her revolving door single releases.

Has TTT actually been released yet? I think that'll perform much better.

You Da One is one of my fave Riri songs.

I think it's because the album has sold so well, but then again so did LOUD yet WMN ft Drake got to t#1.

Where have you been would have continued the "Dubstep" vibe or whatever you call it nowdays .

I think artists should release at least three-four singles which will chart well due to different music that cannot be accessed anywhere else (in this case from an album). However Katy Perry achieved 5 Number One's from "Teenage Dream" on the american equivalent of the UKTOP40- Billboard Hot 100, with her most recent number one single from the latter album topping the chart exactly a year after release. This is seldom seen! Board-em may be the answer to Rihanna's poor charting singles!

You da one barely had any promo. When it was released, she will still constantly doing promo for We found love, as if none of us were aware it existed despite it being one of the biggest singles of her career

Talk that talk hasn't had a video even shot and again, has had low promo apart from a Jonathan Ross spot she did a few weeks ago. Although i wonder if this was more of a promo single than an official single.

Talk that talk is still performing it's in the top 40 last week let's see where it goes this week. It had strong digital downloads the 1st week and it was at no.31 in America. You da one peaked only the 2nd week at no.14 so it flopped sort of!! But I do think that WFL overshadowed the 2 singles charts success it was in the top 10 for like 4 or 5 months and it just got out of the top 10 last week.

I don't think people aren't that bored of her yet because WFL stood on the charts for along time like I was saying too. Its still playing like it's still no.1!! The album sales for talk that talk isn't bad at all like 742,000 copies so far in America and I bet you right around this time loud was at that in sales.

Let's see how birthday cake and where have you been do on the charts.

we ride was epic...and YDO is good too. It flopped as they released it too soon. It should've been out in late January, with a Brits and Grammy medley with WFL. And then TTT out in early April. She rushed singles, she felt the flop as did Gaga with Edge of glory cannibalising Judas' sales.

I'am not sure if Birthday Cake has been confirmed as her next single. If it has, she is just rushing single releases! I hope where have you been will be released as i believe it is one of the better songs on the sixth studio album from the Barbadian popstar!

It's an urban radio single in the US ATM, it's at #7 on urban airplay.

True, I'm not really a fan of TTT and it's the only single I can remember other that We found love which was everywhere.
I haven't enjoyed Rihanna since Good Girl Gone Bad.

The shameful thing is TTT is her best era since Rated r
We found love is a great track but doesn't actually represent the album. The other tracks are qute Urban and full of attitude. You Da One and Talk that talk really represent the album's sound.

Fully support your view! Is a Katy Perry & Rihanna collaboration on the cards? I'll make a new thread about it

No idea. A katy and riri duet has been fuelling rumors since 2010. Could it happen? Very likely as they are Best mates in real life but it all depends if their schedules meet.
