that cassie is a really boring performer. She might be able to hold a tune, but she is no different from a million other young girls who want to be singers.

Boring generic rubbish in my humble opinion.

With the exception that she doesn't want to be a singer, she is a singer.

So what is your idea of an exciting performer? Someone who just stands there and stares into the camera or someone who prances around all over the stage? Both equally aggravating IMO.

I think she has a lovely voice, but she would be better suited to the stage, musicals etc.

Cassie has a clarity to her voice which is great at 17, with the right coaching she will just get better and better.

I thought Cassie owned the stage on Saturday unlike alot of performers who just stood there, I think Cassie will grow each week. There are alot more boring acts in the competition.

i think cassie has a good voice, altho for some reason, i just dont really like her as a person, i know this is going to sound stupid cause its all about the talent, but every time i see her on itv2 or being interviewed i just go off her...sorry!

I know what people mean about Cassie's performances, but I could listen to that voice for hours.

I wish she would show a little more of her personality. She has an amazing voice, but at times I find myself saying, she really isnt that interesting. She needs to do a loud upbeat song that shows her as more than this fragile 17 year old. I dont buy for a second that she is really that intimidated by Simon. that is all sharon's doing, telling her to be all scared so people will feel sorry for her and vote.

You the mean the way Simon lets Rowetta get all worked up so we can see the tears each week.

I don't really think that way but if one's true the other certainly is.

Jeez, give the girl a chance. She's done two performances, a little over a minute each and you're criticising her already! . I think she's done amazingly well with the songs she's been given (which as we all know, haven't been suited to her age).

Also, you should compare Cassie's performance last Saturday with Rowetta's. Cassie moved around the stage, was expressive and conveyed the emotion of the song she was singing. Rowetta stood there like a lemon, pretty much expressionless and devoid of emotion throughout the song (and she was singing a big, emotive U2 anthem!).

Its funny how people see/hear performances. Its like we're all watching a different show sometimes.......

So do you mean you think they should come out with something different and new and not the norm for the charts at the moment? Then I'm guessing you like either G4, VWS and/or Rowetta.

No, I mean give her a chance to prove herself over the coming weeks when she may have different types of songs to sing instead of writing her off already as "boring generic rubbish".....but of course I accept there are people like you who obviously don't want to......

I'm struggling at the moment to understand why so many people think Cassie is fantastic, admittedly I only saw the first weeks performance (which I didn't like at all), so should probably reserve judgement until I have watched the repeat of Saturday's show later today; but I agree with wittongilbert and don't think there is anything special about her at all.

To be quite honest VWS were my fave on Saturday, I just find Cassie no different to whats already out there and I'm tired of seeing it.

Tabby is crap too!! He wouldn't know rock if it hit him in the face, and hopefully before too long, one will

I hate it when people say this. So anyone with a clear powerful voice should be confined to musical theatre. What's wrong with hearing a clear powerful voice coming through a radio or CD player? I'd rather hear that than the sound of someone like Tabby. I can hear something like Tabby any day of the week just by tuning my radio badly or dialling a fax machine.

....problem is there are dozens of young ladies with clear, powerful voices on the radio. Even if Cassie were to win this competition, she will come across the "reality TV show prejudice" that virtually blocks them getting radio airplay. And without radio airplay they can virtually kiss goodbye to their career (ie David Sneddon, Sinead Quinn, Alistair Griffin, are the main victims that spring to mind) I would say the 2 exceptions are Will Young and Lemar, who both took a year off to shake off the tag of reality TV.

Nah not quite true lady, Will was the fastest selling single debut artist, and they played him and Gazzer to death on the radio, on the music channels.... Lemar well he did not win anyway did he.

Will was played with other hits as well, before he took off, his first album was a hit as well. So sorry that aint true the radio stations loved Will Young! Taking off did him good but it is not like it happened just after he won, he was in the limelight all the first year he had to be he was THE FIRST EVER!!! Pop idol and that was worldwide.

Now Mihcelle on the other hand well she went off the scene in 4 months or maybe 5 of winning, gone gone gone! But then she was rubbish, and I dont blame the radio stations. It is the fact that they have to be good, NOW who would have thought that Il Divo would have just sold more albums than Robbie in one day?? classicalish, and new but WELL promoted and that is what they need BRILLIANT promotion, but they have to have a fighting chance of being pretty good and what the public at the time want. Is Cassie that! who knows, her fans, as I am not really one I cant say. I likes Tabby.

.....if that`s true about Il Divo - great news. Just proves that the GBP do appreciate that kind of music. And I think it bodes well for G4 as they have already had more publicity than Il Divo. They obviously have not had the experience of Il Divo, who were all professional opera singers before coming together, but there is definitely the demand for more than just 1 opera group so I think they will do well out of this competition as they already have a big following

Cassie was miles better this sat than the previous. Great vocals and much more confidence. I like her voice a lot and would buy her albums.
