Can you grow chilli plants from the seeds you get from supermarket chilli's, Is it that easy.
In the local garden centre, its £2.00 for 10 seeds. A normal supermarket chilli for 20p will have approx 10 seeds. |

Yes you can, but depends on the variety of chilli as some may not do so well.
Dry the seeds out on some kitchen paper and leave in a south facing window for a week or so, till properly dry. A friend of mine grew the Romanesco pointed sweet pepper and they turned out fine

It's where all my chilli and sweet pepper plants come from - those big thin sweet peppers produce a good value for money crop, it's 99p for two which will net you more seeds then you care to grow - I got 10 peppers from mine last year, just on the window

Yep. We've been really successful growing several varieties of chillies from seeds. They do really well in our conservatory and the seedlings I've given my mum have done well just on her windowsill.

Thanks. I've planted a few and will let you know how they turn out.
