The Jamie Borthwick/Jay Mitchell Appreciation Thread
I've always been a fan of Jay but he stole the episode for me tonight. Jamie was amazing.

Good thread sez.
I have always thought he was a good actor even when he was young. Glad they involved him in this big storyline. |

Only started watching EE regularly again since just before Christmas, so I'm largely unaware of his story before then. But I do have to say that tonight's performance was fantastic. I really felt for him

I forgotten how well he could act until Tuesday's dramatic episode. Do you you think EE will make use of him much more in the future?

If he tells the truth then he'll be bringing down Ben and Phil, which doesn't seem likely at the moment. The only other possibility I can think of is that he says something to get Andrew off the hook. |

Yeh I think that too - to try and help the situation in some way that he can

He was great again tonight!! Didn't say a lot, but you can feel his distress so much! That vacant look on his face...

Jay has been brilliant since last Monday, once I found out he was going to be involved in this story I was really excited as it meant Jamie would finally have a chance to show off his acting once more. I'm really enjoying the direction Jay's going in at the moment and how he's trying to do the right thing even though it looks like he'll end up taking the blame.

Jamie is the best young soap actor imo, and I have grown to like the character he plays.
I hope his character Jay gets the courage to do the right thing and tell the police it was Ben before someone innocent goes down for something they haven't done. I know he wants to but I think he's worried Phil will turn against him and he will have no-one. |

Just watched last night's on iplayer. Even though it'll probably backfire on him hugely, I'm really glad Jay's trying to get Andrew off the hook. He's struggling to hold it together as it is, so there's no way he'd be able to cope knowing that an innocent man had been sent down. Jay's nature just doesn't seem to fit in with the Mitchell mentality over this.

I'm glad Jay helped Andrew get released, but I wish him and Phil would stop mollycoddling Ben, though. Its not the first time Ben has acted dangerously.
Ben is a damaged teen and if Ben don't get the help soon, it won't be long before someone else is harmed, or worse killed. |

He was great again tonight. I like the way he's using his headphones to block everything out

When is Jay going to knock sense into that awful embarrassing surrogate brother Ben.
