The judges clearly seem to be favouring Chico and Matt, they're giving them points they do'nt deserve. Matt got the same score as Jorgie when he mesed up his headbanger and Jorgie got it perfect, and a higher score than when Jorgie done it perfectly a few weeks ago. And then Chico is obviously getting points he doesn't deserve. And last week, Jorgie done a beautiful routine and what did Louie give her, 6.5! But yet they gave Matt and Chico 9's for boring routines. I know they're allowed to have their own opinion, but come on.I have plenty more examples, these are just a few. I think it's obvious that the judges are sexist, what do you think?

Can't agree with you there. Both Matt and Jorgie made mistakes in their routines.

Matt dropped his parter! And what was Jorgie's mistake, it was fine to me?

She didn't headbang and had to hang onto Matthew round the middle (which is fair enough ).

Jorgie will get the top marks when she deserves them. Winners in the past have been female and one might say the show is actually more in favour of the female celeb due to the fact that lifts can hide a multitude of sins.

It looks that way by how many men have won other TV shows though! Just look at Big Brother, X Factor, BGT etc. Most of the winners have been male, haven't they. All of TV is sexist.

I guess imust be sexist too then because i think Chico and Matthew have been better than Jorgie this year. Also, in terms of things like the lifts and headbanger etc, the men have a much harder job. I know Jorgie cannot help being female but i still think she has been weaker than Matt and Chico in general.

Jorgie was top of the leaderboard a few weeks though, not recently but then I don't think she has deserved to either.

And in terms of the public vote well there have been 3 female winners & 3 male winners so that's pretty even to me.

How's that a fact?

Besides, any belief that lifts can hide a multitude of sins works against the women. Indeed, the women always have to struggle against the widespread belief that they aren't doing anything that requires significant ability to skill when they're being lifted, and that the men have a "much harder job" (as someone put it above).

Matthew had to grab her to keep her upright to save her toppling over just after their routine finished.

Umm not really, just because a man wins over women doesn't mean it's sexist? Maybe the men won because they were quite simply better?

You dont know much about skating if you thought that excuse for a headbanger was ok.
It wasnt even a headbanger and she got it wrong.

That's not the TV's fault .... it's the voters fault so blame them ... it's a common fact that females tend to vote more on these shows so the "cute guy" gets the vote

there have been plenty of female winners of reality shows though

BB Kate, Nadia, Rachel, Josie

X Factor Leona, Alex, Little Mix

I disagree with you that Chico hasn't deserved his marks ....he's one of the best technical skaters on the show ... personally I don't think the males have been favoured and that the judges placings on the scoreboard have been pretty accurate

Jorgie's wasn't great ... it wasn't a headbanger it was a float spin (and a very rushed and short one at that) and her exit of it wasn't perfect .... they obviously choreographed Matt grabbing her around the waist as soon as she exited it in order to help her keep upright (smoke and mirrors )

I agree with everyone saying the men are favoured because they are. The judges has even agreed they have favourites and that's the men.

Yet a couple of weeks ago people were berating Robin for his so called favouritism towards Chemmy.

when have the admitted that their favourites are the men? .. just the other week Robin was being accused on here of favouring Chemmy

plus if you look at who's topped the leader board each week Matt has topped it 4 times and Jorgie has topped it 4 times ... and they've been joint first once

plus let's not forget that the girls won the team challenge

Actually, on X Factor, ever since LM won, female winners have outnumbered males by 1.

I prefer float spins anyway. It's annoying that the show kept calling it a headbanger, but that's not Jorgie's fault.

Grabbing her waist is not smoke or mirrors, and it was still a more impressive way to exit than others have done.

Right. But the general public love the lifts and find them exciting and flashy. They are usually the parts that get cheers and not the complicated footwork. It's been shown that any skater of any ability can do the lifts as has been shown with the numerous weaker skaters over the years.

This has been mentioned a lot over the series, people have noticed and therefore started to heavily favour the celebrity men who can perform them - the celebrity females are being heavily criticised the other way for being able to be lifted. If they want to impress they have to do more skating but even when they do it doesn't have the same impact and is routinely expected.

I have to say, the females are getting less appreciation as a result of 'evening the playing field' when it should be more of a balance.

For me, Chico has to tighten his stance/skills, Matt has to be more into his performances (stop looking at the camera everytime you perform a trick or finish a sequence) and Jorgie has to slow down.

I do think reality tv as a whole is biased towards males and it's generally down to the apparent demographic of that type of programme's audience. Obviously this is a big generalisation but it's my opinion that more women than men watch (and certainly vote) and that a fair proportion of those will favour a good-looking male over a female - particularly if other factors are similar (ability, likeability).

As for the judging panel - they may or may not favour Chico/Matt over Jorgie but even if there's any truth in that, I don't think it's because of gender.
