I Want Jessie J To Crack America So BADLY!!
Jessie J is soo underated i don't care what others want to say.
Who You Are was soo UNDERRATED here in the UK!! It should have gotten more sales. Although it did do well. Jessie's highest debut in the Billboard Hot 100 has been at No. #10 with Domino. She needs a No 1, she has the ability to and AMERICANS LOVE HER. She just fits so well in the US. I think Jessie's biggest obstacle was Adele (i'm an Adele fan) Jessie got overshadowed last year while Adele was breaking records everywhere and Jessie just had moderate success. Hopefully with Adele taking a bit of a break.. Jessie can do some damage to the US charts. C'mon HEARTBEATS!

Adele's success wasn't overnight - she created a core fanbase with her first album, and then boomed with the 2nd. Jessie J will probably be the same - her debut album is already bigger than Adele's 19 was in the US, so it's possible.

I think she can do decently there with some promo. Has she got any singles lined up for the states?

Adele's 19 sold about 600k before she exploded with 21 Who you are's sales are at under 200 Jessie has been on all the big shows to expose herself and it still aint made a difference. Her music is no different to the likes of Katy perry which is why American haven't full embraced her. |

Jessie J, underrated? Now I've heard it all!!!
There hasn't been a more ridiculously over-hyped, overrated, commercially-engineered popstar in years, if ever. And as for her 'act', it couldn't be any more contrived and hollow if she tried, just like her music. |

Anyway, with how she is carrying on at the moment, I would not be surprised if she got a few US no 1's! PS. How did she end up on The Voice? Mind you, they have Will.I.Am on there and he cannot sing for the life of him. Think they should have had The Cheeky Girls on it too. |

I like her voice and some of her songs are really good, I think if she went away for a while and came back with a killer album (in the same vein that Adele did) she could be massive, not Adele massive but really big and even possibly crack America. I do think she did quite well though for a first effort, look forward to seeing what she does next.

"19" has since peaked at #4 and has gone double platinum in the wake of Adele's huge success this past year. "Who You Are" has peaked at #11, has sold about 200,000 copies and isn't even in the Top 200 album chart just 4 months after release. Even if you look at how "19" performed prior to "21" you will see that she still peaked higher (#10) and sold more (843,880) than Jessie J even then. |

Agreed. I quite liked the first song, but I don't know what she did after that, as she seemed to chart very highly. Price Tag was not all that in my opinion.

I don't think she's really a great singer. Everytime I've seen her on TV she's either been wildly out of tune or has just screamed the songs....plus working with Dr. Luke hasn't done her any favours.
Domino probably only got as high as it did because it's the same song as Last Friday Night....I don't think she's anything special tbh, and her album hasn't performed that well either relative to the level of hype she got... |

I like Jessie and think it would be great if she cracks America, as I actually like seeing other Brits do well internationally.

I just find her incredibly irritating on just about all levels. This woman is so desperate for fame you can almost smell it. As I'm an infamous Adele stan it's sort of great that Adele has totally overshadowed her as otherwise I could be accused of jealousy. I was looking forward to The Voice until I discovered she will be one of the 'mentors'. My negative feelings on her can actually be summed up in just one picture.
