I think Jacqui did that. She put something in the bin, which I think was that.

You can die within the first hour in some cases. When I was a baby I got it only a couple hours after coming home from the hospital with some other problem. Luckily my parents were quick enough. It's suspected I got it because of the hospital.

That was deliberate so Pheobe would get it.

Callum's line at the end gave me a lump in my throat, the poor Kanes!!

Not much to say about the episode except I like that group of Freshers more than any in the past. I don't like Will and I'm not keen on Ash but I like the other four a lot and they work really well as a group.

A good episode to start the week, apart from Will being angry (why is he angry? Apart from having a excuse for him to regret his behaviour when he finds out about Ash), I didn't dislike anything.

I like Jacqui's way of caring about Phoebe, it is so Jacqui, she does care but tries not to show it, her putting the sandwich in the bin for Phoebe was great, but I wish they would get over finding a new lodger when I think it is obvious that Phoebe will move in. They should get on with it.

The Mitzeee and Nancy scenes were great, but doesn't the flat only have two rooms?

Loved the Ash storyline, can't wait to see what happens next and I hope it lasts. I also want to see what Ash will do to warrant the best actress nomination. Will it be a long and hard recovery?

And I am glad that George finally mentioned Tilly! Even though I don't want to see the other teens, it's pretty odd that George hasn't met up with any of them, even though Maddie is said to be the only one that is away.

When I was in primary 7 a girl in my class got it. She was complaining about not feeling well at lunch and about 15 minutes later collapsed in the playground. She was later diagnosed with meningitis but thankfully recovered.

Good episode, apart from Rob being a **** although I never want to see George move like that again I am glad Nancy told Riley it was her flat, well technically that is, I didn't understand why he was so annoyed

Jacqui purposely put the sarnie in the bin for Phoebe.

I really enjoyed that episode but thought Rob was a bit rich having a go at Annalise and Will can just go away at the movement. What a bumhead.

That is scary! To be more or less fine one minute and then seriously ill or close to death the next is a very scary thought! Is the bacterial one the worst one to get then?

I'll go and have a read of the interview after.

I thought it was a bit of an odd line to say, but the tears in his eyes and Martha looking lost did get me a bit.

And especially as Riley is only lodging. Mitzeee is the one who is the tenant, so it's her choice if she lets Nancy, Darren and Charlie stay - plus it's Nancy's flat and she's Mitzeee's landlord anyway!

Riley should be thankful for 1) Mitzeee letting him and Bobby stay in flat and 2) to Nancy for having a tenancy agreement that allows lodgers or someone staying for lengthy periods of time.

But at the same time the Osbornes should be thankful that Riley is allowing them to live and run the pub, he 'gave' it to them at Christmas and then he decided to allow them to stay after Darren messed up and nearly lost them the place.

Absolutely.Jacqui had seen Pheobe scrabbling in the bins the day before so knew she would take the bate.

Probably the best EP for a long time. The Ash SL start, that Callum was busy entertaining George to realise his sister was in a perilous condition, that Mitzees intervention actually brought about a happy 'coming together' and Jacqui being Mother Theresa - again. Unsure why Darren and Nancy have moved in with Mitzeee, even briefly , but I am sure it wil be for a crucial reason.

I'm assuming the Osbournes still pay rent on the flat to Riley though (should be Carl, but he's been forgetten about) and maybe Riley is getting a cut of the profits considering the Costellos still own it??

And yeah, Darren messed up big time, but Darren wouldn't have done that anyway, it was just a plot device.

Riley isn't going to put his own money in and get a load of building work done on a pub that he gets no money from, that'd be stupid, so it's him that should be thankful to Nancy tenancy and to Mitzeee.

The reason Will told Ash to get his top cleaned was because she threw beer over him.

I guess the actor who plays Tom has hit the age now where school is quite crucial so is concentrating on that. They still forgot about Charlie after school though - but must say I liked the foursome of Riley, Darren, Nancy and Mitzeee.

I did think tonight though was pointing towards Riley doing up the Dog in order to sell it - can't think why else he would and always got the impression when he returned one of the reasons was to sell up - with Darren providing a convenient scapegoat as to why he was selling.

You obviously were not paying attention tonight then. Loving how yet again though they are developing Jacqui's character - Pheobe is so obviously going to end up staying with them.

And perhaps obvious but wouldn't be surprised if at some point down the line...
Spoiler

Afraid it can - hopefully this will educate people a bit about it, though I didn't see any pointers to the website for more info at the end of the show.

Really annoyed though that they've sent all the students away just as this story begins and now the focus switches to bloody George deciding whether to go home or not and then on to Callum and his mum.

Just incase I didn't see three people say it before you, which I've already replied to, you feel the need to repeat it again.

As I've already said, I didn't notice that bit. Is it a crime to not notice everything in the episode. Clearly you didn't notice the three other people that had already replied to me - I thought it was obvious myself.

I heard that a while ago too.

I don't want heartache for Nancy and Darren, just hoping it's not that.

Just caught up with C4 episode. I did really love Jacqui's "you should be sorry that jacket is an eye-sore" to George. Some classic Jacqui Mcqueen snapping right there. I don't want Pheobe to move in with Jacqui and Rhys though, if that's what they're hinting at? I mean why would Jacqui and Rhys take on a random teenager? They have enough money problems as it is. If they're going to write her in to the main show atleast do it in a believable way. Just about ANY other characters would be more fitting to take her in than Jacqui and Rhys. But Meh.. Hollyoaks do what they will.

Also enjoyed Ash chucking a pint over Will. Infact that just may have been my favourite part of the episode closely followed by Barney dancing with Mama Kane.

Hmm did anything else worth mentioning happen? Probably not. wasn't the most exiting episode but enjoyable.

Will has always been an idiot
but more so lately. It's intentional though as part of a storyline by the looks of it. Ash seems dissapointed in him. But I can't stand him whether he's "sweet" or a "meat-head"

I disagree actually - the way they've set it up means Jacqui is the best candidate. Remember too she can't have kids so this could potentially lead to an adoption storyline for Rhys/Jacqui - they wouldn't adopt Pheobe, but it opens up that route.

I don't think any of the established families taking her in - even the Osbornes - would be very believeable considering the circumstances.
