Why do people listen to this shit? As she featured on a couple of Madonna tracks on MDNA, I thought I'd check her album preview out. Bloody hell, what a load of angry, obscene noise! Just some angry woman yelling over bleeps and bumps! Is that what music really is like nowadays? I must be old.

I thought everyone loved her. Her singles are getting good ratings and she is da bomb in America. I think she has performed at every singe sports event recently! She must be doing something right. Some of her songs are top notch,some are lame.
I've really gone off of her, loved 'Pink Friday' but even dislike that now. The bigger she got, the more rubbish she's got in my honest opinion. 'Stupid Hoe' and 'Starships' are very bad songs indeed, I cannot believe she's gone from relatively good tracks to this.
I see her album has nearly 20 songs on it, yeah, because only 2/3 of them will be good.
She sounds so angry and hateful all the time yet blames Lil Kim.

I really like Pink Friday and Starships I haven't heard her latest album yet. Roman's Revenge and Blazin are great tracks as well

She's rubbish
She's making the sort of music she likes. I really like her debut, not sure about the second album yet though. She was working hard for years to make it and success came relatively late for her. She is 29 and was suicidal a few years ago working as a waitress. I don't think anyone who doesn't enjoy rap/ hip-hop could like her album tracks.

Is the notion that everyone likes different types of music and that every type of music is liked by someone too difficult to understand?
Do you like music that you KNOW others hate? Of course, so why do yoy not understand that many would like her?
I'm in my early 50's and my daughter has the first album
so I have heard most of it and like a few tracks. I REALLY like her new single. So yes you must be old, but as old as me?

No I'm 43 and yes I grasp that people like different things but music to me is melodious. Not some angry woman yelling over no tune whatsoever and swearing unnecessarily. No wonder young people today have such arrogant attitudes. And, keep your hair on and don't patronise me.

and I'm not a fan of Hip-Hop really, wish she'd stop making songs with Lil Wayne cannot stand him

A lot of her songs do have tunes though. And even the ones that don't, they've usually got good rhythmns. Not everything in music is about a melody.

I don't think Lil Wayne is that good a rapper, but we have to appreciate that Nicki wouldn't even have a career in music if it wasn't for him.
I like Nicki Minaj to an extent! I thought Pink Friday was a good Pop/Rap album! The issue i had with it was the fact that there were soooo many samples on that album! Nearly every song was based on a sample from a song which was already a hit! 
Still, they were catchy, with a few creative raps!
Her new stuff (Except Starships, which is too catchy/Summery/fun for me to dislike) isn't really my cup of tea though!

Hip hop albums are supposed to have lots of sampling in lol. Sampling is one of the fundamental parts of the genre. It happens too little now. Back in the 80's hip hop albums would often have sampling on every single song.
