Tapioca pudding, or "frog spawn" as we called it.
![]() Didn't really taste of much, but the texture and appearance were quite off-putting... |

Does anyone remember a brand of crisps called Looney Tunes?
They were out in the early/mid 90s and were similar to pringles, but were slightly smaller and had the faces of Looney Tunes characters on them. The prawn cocktail ones were awesome but then they stopped selling them. |

They had faces on and a hollow middle with chocolate stuff in. I can't remember what they were called. |

No, it I still buy them from time to time
![]() It came loose in jars and they weighed it out for you, it was really sour. It's probably illegal now, it couldn't have been good for a person. |

Orange ice cream - no-one sells it any more, and I love it!
![]() Only twice in over 30 years have I had that golden delicacy. Once in Valencia and once in Delhi.

I don't think so, it was sherbert but wasn't fine like the sherbert dip sherbert, it was granular like caster sugar. It was also coloured orangey red and was lovely and sour, it would make your eyes water.

I can't remember it even having a name. It did make your tongue sore though.
Aye, it came in lovely colours. I used to mix some in lemonade sometimes. |

Floral Gums - although you can still get them which I occasionally do. Very 70s and most people thought they tasted of washing up liquid.
I was in B&M today and it was like a blast from the past - they had Pot Noodle, Vesta Currys, Space Raider crisps. Does anyone remember the name of the crisps that came out in the mid 70s that was a forerunner of Wotsits? They were in an orange bag and was only about 3p when Walkers crisps were about 7p. I keep thinking they were called Puffs or something ![]() ![]() Dalesteaks when my mum couldn't afford sirloin! I actually loved blancmange, tapioca, and rice pudding. However, I bought some Ambrosia tapioca the other month as I'd not had it since I was a child and it was bloody awful. Birds trifle you made yourself. We always had this on a Sunday or Angel Delight. |

school dinners mainly. the meat had huge pieces of gristle and the custard was water with lumps in.
bricklayer pudding. one bite and your jaws were clamped together all afternoon. probably a deliberate plot by the teachers. |

You know, I don't know what that is but to this Texas girl that just sounds awful.
Mr Brains Faggots are different. They are made of minced liver and onions, with herbs and spices, rolled into balls and served in a sauce. Personally I don't like them. |

Sherbet, I used to buy quarters of it. I haven't bought it since I don't even know if they sell it like that anymore.
Also, Sherbet Shandies - they were lollipop things on a stick and were yellow or pink. I loved them and would buy them all the time if I could find them still. The only extra thing is powdered citric acid. |
