Yeah, I have a recipe book with sherbet in it, I haven't tried it yet though, I'd have to hide it from my kids, I couldn't bear the wee grains all over the house

we used to get lots of colours of custard at school dinners

pink, brown, yellow, orange........

Something else we used to have a lot when I was a kid was rhubarb, both school dinners and at home...........plain stewed or in a pie or flan

Everyone with a spare bit of garden or allotment used to grow it

You can still get rhubarb in the supermarkets but it's a luxury food price now............

Lollies - I loved them.

Also Wham bars, Black Jacks (liquorice sweets with a Gollywog on them), Chewits, bleeding skulls (white choc with some kind of strawberry sauce inside), Space Invader crisps, Fruit Salad sweets.
