Lost mobile internet on HTC desire

Hi.
Pretty much as the title states...

I mostly use wifi but the other day I was in the car waiting for the other half and noticed it was having trouble getting to the page I wanted using the network.

It still hasn't recovered and will simply not connect to a page. Everything still functions on wifi.

A few days ago I changed my main gmail account password - surely that wouldn't have done this would it?
If not, then any ideas how to remedy this?
I hadn't realised how much I use the network connection untl it went.

Thanks

Reboot
Check your APN
You have used up your allowance for the month (if possible??)
There is no transmitter
Check the website of your provider for outages/problems
Trivially, you have turned off data under settings

Already done a reboot.
As I use wifi mostly I am nowhere near my allowance (6% currently).
I have never had issues with transmitters near me. I'm with vodafone and in the middle of Leeds. It's never been a problem at home either which is where I'm currently still trying to sort it.

APN?

APN though seems a fairly simple one, so unlikely to be wrong

You have got data enabled in your settings?

Yes I have. I hadn't changed anything, which is why it had me confused.

Anyway, I delved into the APN thing. The advice given by vodafone wasn't overly helpful as what they suggested didn't work but it did give me an opportunity to reset the default settings. I did this just because nothing else had worked - and that seems to have done the trick.

Still none the wiser but it now works.
Thanks for taking the time to assist.

Good to hear you are sorted even if the how it happened is unclear.
