Normally the women are miles better than the guys most years.

However the women don't seem particularly good this year, only 1 episode I know.

However both of these women didn't say much but said the right things when they did.

The only other women I think might contend was the one with a kind of Essex accent.

Still learning names but I think the Scottish woman was called Laura

As an Irish woman, I cringed at the Irish girl on it, OMG she was a complete horror. She really needs to chillax.

Mind you, from the previews for the series it seems that Scotland will try to outsmug Ireland

I agree that Maria O'Connor (the essex girl) might be a contender.

I think Nick might be a contender. Calm & controlled, and generally only opened his mouth when he had something meaningful to say.
I would imagine him to be a great person to work with, whether he is ruthless enough to drop the others in it in the board room.....we'll see

I didn't take to the irish woman in this frist episode. I know it's early days so my mind can be changed (as has done so in the past) but I found her abit over forceful in that kind of bulldog kind of way and I'm not fond of those types of personalities.

I much prefer the temperament of someone like Gabrielle (even though she'd prob be seen as a weak figure).

She got quite feisty in the boardroom towards the end.

Argubly at the right time though, no?... when she's fighting her corner for what could be her last time on the show. If she had been the same in the main task (manner wise) as in the boardroom then I prob wouldn't like her but I think it was understandbale for the temperature in her to rise come the final knock out when Biliana was clearly gunning for her (whilst also digging her own grave), so,...

The Irish woman at least had the sense to try and get the PM to strategise about the margin. Not that it did any good, as Gabrielle was only interested in producing something pretty and had no idea what to buy or how much to sell it for.

My daughters were buying and selling in their own shop aged 16 and 17 and made a better stab at getting it right.

I love this stage in the show, where we're still not on first-name terms with all of the candidates.

Anyway, the Irish woman would intimidate the hell out of me. She snapped at everyone and everything!
