The Verve
Just got back into a total Verve buzz at the moment. Anyone here a fan?

I was a fan back in the 90s, though I preferred the just 'Verve' days before the definitive 'The'. 'A Storm In Heaven' remains one of my favourite albums, plus the EPS like 'She's A Super Star' and 'Gravity Grave'.
Saw them live in 1995 and they were great. However, I found the 2008 album 'Forth' very uninspired. It was dreary and I couldn't believe how stuck in the 90s they seemed to be musically. It just seemed like they had done it all before, a wasted reunion in my opinion when they have the talent to be so innovative. |

Urban Hymns is a complete masterpiece, bought it on the day it came out in 1997 from Our Price in Wigan and still sounds as good now. Also saw their gig at Haigh Hall the following year
