Every Loser Wins and Heartbeat. He didn't need to release anymore singles as those two were perfect. Same goes for Geordie God Jimmy Nail. |

Hmm yeah Do you think that it's due to the artist sing the tune or the programme it comes from?
Dennis Waterman has the theme from Minder which started the whole 'write the theme tune' thing on Little Britain |

Anita Dobson (aka Angie Watts) - Anyone can fall in Love.
Number 4 hit in 1986 - the music was the theme tune to Eastenders. Hate to admit this, but I liked it & I bought it!! ![]() Lynn Hamilton - On the Inside - Theme tune to Prisoner Cell Block H. Another Top Ten hit. Again, I loved it & I bought it. (Strangely though, I'm not embarrassed about this one)!! |

'Eye Level' by the Simon Park Orchestra, which was the theme tune to TV detective show 'Van der Valk', spent four weeks at #1 in the UK in September 1973.
The 'Miami Vice Theme' by Jan Hammer peaked at #5 in the UK in 1985 and in the same year 'Axel F' by Harold Faltermeyer, from 'Beverley Hills Cop', peaked at #2. |

Does 'The Good, the bad, and the ugly' by Hugo Montenegro count? As it is a cover of the film score but it did get to number one in 1968.
The windmills of your mind sung by Noel Harrison from the Thomas Crown affair got to number 8 in 1968 |

'Eye Of The Tiger' by Survivor, from 'Rocky III', was a huge #1 single back in 1982.
'Flashdance (What A Feeling)' by Irene Cara peaked at #2 in the UK in 1983. Her single 'Fame', from the film of the same name, topped the UK charts for 3 weeks a year earlier. 'Together In Electric Dreams' by Phil Oakey and Giorgio Moroder, from the 1984 film 'Electric Dreams', reached #3 in the UK and stayed in the charts for 13 weeks. |
