Ground cumin
A recipe I want to do uses Ground Cumin. I haven't got any, but I have got Cumin seeds. I can just grind them to a powder in a pestle and mortar, can't I ??
Is that a stupid question or what ! |

yes you can grind them. Roast first if you want to release the aroma.

I would definitely roast them for a few minutes in a dry pan beforehand.

And it'll probably be much nicer than when bought pre-ground.
