I've just bought the new iPad and am pleased with it so far. However, there's a couple of things I'm not sure about. Firstly if I've downloaded an app then decide later I don't want it after all, how do I delete it? Secondly, I've got two email addresses. The main one is fine and works perfectly (hotmail) but the second one (btinternnet) I don't seem to know how to access it.

I have printed out the PDF from my other laptop but blow me if I'm gonna read all 144 pages of it!

Can any other new iPad users here help me out please?

Thanks

To remove apps, if it's the same as an iPhone, just press and hold the icon and it will shake. Press the x that appears.

I set up my BTinternet email by selecting the yahoo option (when adding a new email account). Just input my btinternet email and password and it worked ok.

In addition to that, you may not know that while they're shaking you can also drag them around to change the order on a page or drag to the edge to put on the next/previous page, you can also drag them in to the dock at the bottom of it's an app you use all the time, and if you drag one app over another it'll make a folder so you can group things together such as games or news apps etc.

Many thanks for all your helpful comments - all sorted now.

However, I'm still struggling with the Apple TV unit. Works perfectly on the main TV but, despite following all the instructions, I'm still unable to get the iPad to mirror itself onto the TV.

Sigh.......

Double click the home button - that will bring up a row of open apps at the bottom of the screen. Swipe to the left as far as it will go, and you'll see some music controls. There's an icon on the right hand side - a rectangle with an triangle in it. Click in that , and you should see Apple TV as an option, along with a switch to toggle mirroring on and off. As long as both devices are set up on the same home network, it should work.

Thanks PiazzaCharlie, but I'm not sure which "home button" you're referring to: on the TV Apple or on the iPad itself?

Thanks
