Do you think matt will release a 4th single from the platinum album letters??

It doesn't matter if people like him or not, its all inevitable really- a renewed record deal from Simon Cowell's Syco label doesn't look likely at all. I dont dislike the artist yet lets just face the facts here:

Debut Album= Letters (Album Chart Placing: UK:2 IRE:2)
Debut Single from the Album= Run For Your Life (Single Chart Placing-UK:6,SCO:6 & IRE:12)
Second Single from debut Album=Starlight (Failed to chart, reaching 185 on the UK Singles chart)
Third Single from the album= Amazing (Also Failed to chart,
reaching 84 on the UK singles chart)

Matt Cardle is perceived as an arrogant, pretentious X-Factor Winner Flop- this isn't my exact view.

Lets be truthful here- Do your really think Simon Cowell likes an artist signed to his label who is also a MALE X-Factor Winner who's debut album (first after winning) hadn't reached number one, his lead single from the latter also not reaching the summit and crashing at number 5, respectively and his next two singles failing to chart, would want to renew his "unworthy" contract?

I respect that you are fond of him however even if he has this "cult" following,it isn't justified in his single, album sales however is justified in his tour sales with it being sold out in days and a "high demand" from fans. So Simon Cowell has to make a decision on whether he wants quality or quantity from his signed artist.

Matt has a joint contract with Columbia and Simons label...if Simon drops him then Columbia will still have him (considering they had to persuade Simon to get half of him).

Matt is recording his 2nd album so clearly the powers to be were happy with the Letters 'era' to green-light that.

Best if he doesn't
He hasn't been a huge flop but he has hardly been bringing in millions of pounds to his label
A second album is likely but what happens after that is unknown.

The handling of Matt's singles has been a disaster. Run For Your Life was obviously forced onto the album, but to release it as a single - and the first single at that! - was like Syco were setting Matt up for failure from the get-go. I actually like RFYL but I can see why others didn't and it's just not singe material.

Starlight is a great song and should have been a huge buzz single. This should have been released first, with a massive publicity blitz and a far better video than it was given. I can't understand how such a brilliant song basically got swept under the rug.

And Amazing is another brilliant song but the publicity for it was minimal, with another cheap and boring video.

I love Letters as an album, and I'm going to see Matt on tour next week, but I hope he's able to eventually release music without Syco. They've proven once again that they just have no clue. It's painful to see how Matt's been treated compared to One Direction and Cher Lloyd.

Well Cher and One direction are easy to Market. Matt, not so much. His stuff doesn't appeal to a young audience which is what One Direction and Cher's had

It's not about how he has been treated. His material is terribly bland. It hasn't connected amazingly well with the public.

I know what you mean - I'm not someone who likes to blame Syco for everything when their favourite fails - but while Matt is hard to market it really doesn't seem like any effort has been put in. It's disappointing.
