pretty average year to be honest.

Especially when you compare it to 1998

It was a decent year by the 00s standards, one of the better ones for sure. But I wouldn't call it a great year by any means.

2003 was a decent year but imo 2000,2001 and 2002 were all better years

2003 was probably my favourite year for music along with 2007, I hope mainstream music can get that good again one day.

The worst year for music has to be 2009 and 2011.

Some good tunes in 2003. I weep when I think of the music we have today. Oh well.

2003 had the awful Where Is The Love, but also the brilliant All the Things She Said. I and all of my classmates at the time were singing along to the Fast Food song, Year 3000, In Da Club and Proper Crimbo.

And ashamedly, I enjoyed Shane Ritchie's cover of I'm Your Man! I was 10 in 2003.

Junior Senior's Move Your Feet was also a great springtime tune that year!

That was how I felt at the time, and that attitude has stuck for nearly nine years!

2003 was, alas, my least fave year for music during the 1997-2005 era. It was at the time one of my top 5 most disappointing years for music (alongside 1990, 1991, 1994 and 1996). That said, I had more ideas for fave songs during the first quarter of 2003 than this time this year.

Mind you, I also preferred my fave song of 2003, Shania Twain's Ka-Ching, to anything from 2007 or 2009.

i was 10 in 2003 too. And i actually quite liked Where is the love

i seem to remember Busted most from 2003...i loved them at the time and one of my local radio stations played Year 3000 recently so it brought back a load of memories haha. I also remember Kylie Minouge's Body Language era, and Beyonce and Crazy in Love! Good times

AARGH Junior Senior!

What a track, I had the single on CD and I loved the video!

Loved BEP, preferred Shut Up to WITL, White Flag was great, I was 3rd year at school in 03, I loved every one of my school years for music to be honest. Every year had some great songs.

2003 was perhaps one of the weakest years for music. I think the only decent highlight of that year was Beyonce's debut album.

2003 was my worst year for music imo. There was literally no artist I got into, no albums I bought - just the odd song here and there that was 'alright', but overall, my least fave year of the 2000's. Very boring.
