Yes it is on Eurosport, it's been delayed because of the tennis. It's been put back to 8.30pm now, although it's only 3-2 in the final set so it could be any time.

Thankyou, I'm watching it through the link posted on this thread, the Russian commentaters are driving me mad, but at least I am getting to see it!

The tennis has finished, the ice-skating will be on next, running late.

Virtue & Moir so classy. My personal favourites were the French though. I never tire of watching their routine.

As for the ice dancing tonight, I am so happy that Nathalie and Fabian finally got a world medal. And under the circumstances! I always love watching them. I knew Virtue & Moir would take it but personally I've preferred Davis & White the last couple of seasons. I didn't think the gap between them should've been so much, but then I'm hardly an expert. I am a fan of both couples but I prefer D&W's free dance. I'm sure I remember Nicky Slater saying the same thing during the GP season as well so at least it's not just me... |

I do think that both pairs are fabulous though.I think Nathalie and Fabian did a great job and are always trying to do something different, excellent routine last night. I would have preferred 1st and 2nd the other way round but the top 3 were brilliant but then I liked the Italians and the other Canadians. I was spoilt for choice ![]() Also, thanks for the Russian link, it was very handy last night.

I have watched her for a couple of years now and always hoped she could get it all together, I'm hoping she holds it together for the free now.

Anyone know why Nicky Slater isn't commentating?

Great 4 hours in front of the telly watching today's action.
Men's short was interesting - inevitable that Patrick Chan is leading I guess but have to say I thought Brezina was fantastic. And chuffed for Joubert to do so well - I think he could get a medal if he holds it together in the free. And Gachinska must have had a real shocker - didn't see his skate but he is well down the leaderboard. Really enjoyed the Pairs Free tonight - Volosozhar & Trankov deserved to win the Free but felt Aliona & Robin deserved the overall title (though I may be a bit biased here) even though they weren't at their best. The Japanese deserved bronze too, especially after their fabulous short programme. And a lovely reaction from her to winning bronze. One thing I will say regardless of your views on the new scoring system I do think one of it's advantages is that you can move up several places on the leaderboard under the present one which would rarely have happened under the old system. |

Oh gosh Trankov & Volosozhar were amazing in the pairs tonight. To come back like that and nearly get gold after lying in 8th! Even though I'm not usually that into pairs (Aliona & Robin excepted of course - always love them) I really like watching those two. They seem to have a great partnership. Was nice to see Japan get their first medal in pairs too (I think?).
Men was a mixed bag earlier... I am so glad the guys on Eurosport mentioned Chan being overscored. It's been bothering me for a while. Admittedly I'm not a big fan of his skating anyway so I wondered if I was just missing something about him. But really, he got a seasons's best today even though that skate clearly wasn't the best he's done this season. How do you explain that? Blaaaah. Anyway I always love to watch Daisuke. I hope he kills it in the free tomorrow because his long program is captivating. Disappointed but not overly surprised to see Jeremy Abbott falter. Wonderful skater but never does well under pressure. His short program is so good when he does it well though! I think it might be my favourite of the season: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oeya_bPe53Y Btw I just saw Sid saying on Twitter that the Russian stream cut out - that must have been very annoying. I've heard though that French Eurosport are broadcasting everything live so I'll see if I can find a stream for that tomorrow. I really need to see the men live! |

I've been watching French Eurosport via -
www.sportlemon.tv Strangely todays mens short Programme started with Italian Rai Tv then switched to French Eurosport after the first two groups. Not complaining though ![]() They do have a lot of pop up ads on the small screen but if you switch to full screen they don't appear. |

I was so pleased Robin and Aliona hung on for the gold. Trankov and Volosozhar were just brilliant but I felt that Robin and Aliona just deserved it.
I am also amused at the scoring of Chan, his programme was flawed and yet he got massive marks. The same happens with Carolina Kostner, she could fall over 3 times and still win. I would also love Daisuke win the mens but it isn't going to happen. It's the last day tomorrow so I shall be glued for the ladies and the mens events. |

The Men's Free was very exciting to watch but I can't help being disapponted in the result. He certainly wasn't 6 points better than the rest but it seems that whenever the judges take off marks for technical errors they just bump up his components score. It's not his fault that the judges give him these marks & he's a very good skater & definitely deserved to win the world title last year but the crowd reaction said it all. The Japanese were brilliant & Hanyu is such an exciting talent. Gachinski had another poor skate in the free judging by his marks & it will mean that only one Russian will compete in the Men's at worlds next year meaning he (most likely) or Plushenko will miss next year's event with less than a year to Sochi Olympics. It's not been a great championships for the Russians but fingers crossed for Leonova in the ladies later tonight. |

I was pretty outraged when Chan beat Daisuke on the free at the grand prix final but I thought him being on home ice might have played a part there. But this... there is just no excuse. Chris on the commentary was right, it really does spoil the whole thing. It particularly gets to me because Daisuke is my favourite skater, and the fact he can perform like that and still be behind Chan for PCS baffles me. I actually get emotional watching Daisuke skate; he feels the music right through to his fingertips and skates with his soul. Chan will never be able to move me regardless of how well he skates.
I am pleased for Yuzuru Hanyu though. That boy's got fire. I'm glad there's another Japanese skater for me to get excited about when Daisuke retires. I'm not really expecting Leonova to hold onto first place in the ladies to be honest... but you never know. I won't be surprised if Carolina takes it. |

![]() I managed to catch the final group of the Ladie's Free. (which is probably my favourite event). And I'm so happy that Carolina pulled it all together at last. I've never seen her jump so well. Liked how she put her arms aound her coaches after her scores to show it was a team effort. |
