My lovely Roger has disappeared. We put posters up as he hasnt been in since Tuesday night. My husband was informed that a neighbour across the road had called out the RSPCA to an injured cat, who legged it when approached

Am so sadHave been out looking for him

Have had news
One neighbour called out the RSPCA to an injured catc matching his description, but they couldnt catch him.
I leafleted the road behind them, and he was sighted again but they couldnt catch him.
He may be in a garden in my road.. a few people were not in when I did a door to door this morning

Thats good news, at least there is still hope that you'll find him. Just keep trying the houses no one was in and keep up your search. I hope all turns out well for you and Roger is found soon.

Nice to read some good news. I wonder why he didn't come home if his injuries are just minor I would hope my own cats would make their way home if they were hurt/injured. I suppose he was in a state of shock, poor little cat.

All I knew yesterday was that he had been seen and was injured, and the RSCPA hadnt been able to catch him. When we found him to day he was holed up behind some trellis, which we had to saw to get him out. He is limping and has lost weight. When I was looking for him and wondering why he hadnt just come home, another neighbour suggested he was frightened and possibly disorientated

Thank God it wasn't only me, I had a little dirty minded chuckle each time I saw it, but didn't want to say anything whilst someone was worrying where there cat was.

snowy ghost, I am so pleased you have found him, I know how I would feel if one of mine went missing.

Update

Roger has a poorly leg, back and tail still...my OH took him to the vet and he was x rayed yesterday. There was some discussion about whether his tail would need to be amputated.Plan so far is that he has to rest for 4 - 6 weeks and a cat cage has been purchased. He is not pleased.

I have just had a read up on tail injuries and they can be really serious.

Roger has not escaped as much as we initially believed. My husband took him back to the vet and the x ray showed a fractured pelvis.
I am not sure he is peeing at all so brought him back to the vet this morning, who said to keep an eye on it and bring him back to morrow if no show.
We have not had to change the litter tray at all...no pong/poo,hence my bringing him to the vet again today.
She said his bladder was empty yesterday when x rayed and there is some urine in there to day, but we need to know if he is actually urinating properly or whether his bladder is emptying itself when full by itself

Am sorry to hear he's not escaped as lightly as you first thought. Fingers crossed all will be well with Roger. xx
