Hope someone can help. There was a dance tune, I think from the late 90's that I remember liking but can't for the life of me remember what it was called.
It was a cover and the artist's name was very similar to the ori ginal's. It has the lyrics of "I'm so scared" or "but I'm scared" or something like that.
The video had a woman in a subway and I seem to remember red balloons? I think the song was about being abused as a child so the dance cover was a bit controversial.
I can hear part of the tune in my head and it's driving me nuts

The video you describe is ringing bells with me. During the 90s i had cable tv and used to pick up a French music channel - the video you're talking about was played on there a lot.
But i just can't remember the song - for some reason Everything But The Girl are coming to mind - they had a short dance phase in the 90s, i may be way off though on it being them.
