We're having a new kitchen put in the week after next (yay!), which means I'm not going to have a cooker for a few days, including over Easter (not so yay). I really only use my microwave to heat milk for coffee and defrost stuff, so I need a few suggestions for meals I can make beforehand that I can freeze and then heat up in the microwave. I'm going to make a lasagne to portion up. What else could I do? I've got some homemade soup in the freezer, as I always do, but the OH isn't keen on soup. I was thinking about making a cottage pie, but I don't want to eat mince-based stuff every day. Anyone got any ideas?

Any stew or casserole will portion upand reheat in the microwave, chicken in a sauce, sweet and sour pork, sausage or chicen pasta bake, curries, roast meats sliced up and frozen in gravy. Get hold of an electric steamer if you can so that you can cook fresh veg and rice.

The electric steamer is a really good idea - thanks! I'm going to see if I can pick up a small cheap one somewhere.

Buy some Zip n Steam bags from Lakeland. You'll be able to cook salmon and vegetables in the microwave a treat.

When we had our kitchen done I set up like a mini kitchen in my hallway. I had a steamer, microwave, panini maker which I could also fry things on, the toaster. I got toaster bags so I could make toasties.
Ask your family or friends if they have anything you can borrow, its suprising what you can cook up without a cooker.
