I am in no way saying that Beyonce does not deserve her 16 Grammy wins, but do you feel Whitney should have got more?

To alot of people Whitney was the 'voice', the most awarded female singer ever, and yet she won so few Grammys in her career compared to other singers. Celine Dion is the same, she only has 5. For singers so well known and topping the best selling female charts, shouldnt they have more?

Of course Beyonce has won alot for her music videos, which Whitney wasnt known for.

IMO, One Moment in Time should have won best vocal in 1989. Do you feel Whitney deserved more in her career?

As many others have pointed out, the Grammy's have lost their value. It's not about honoring the best song or the best artist anymore. It's all about giving an award to a mainstream artist who is not completely rubbish and appeals to the age demographic of viewers the Grammy's are aiming for. So, as long as Beyonce has a decent pop smash out, she will reign supreme at the Grammy's.

Hands down. I hate the Grammys for this. They're so shady. They snub people randomly. Like this year. AOTY, 4 v Loud. One wins hands down. And then Bruno's debut v Kanye's MDBTFantasy. What are they doing?

I mean how can you beat Whitney for vocal performance or Mariah? They deserve so many more.

But the material she won for is actually worthy of the awards, when you look what she's won for. She's actually one of the deserving ones.

Of course she is. That's why I said that they give awards to those few mainstream artists that aren't completely rubbish. She's credible enough for the standards of the industry as it is now to win many Grammy's. Because, no disrespect, but 'Single Ladies' is not that superior to many pop tracks that have been snubbed over the years ( Britney springs to mind). The only reason why this song got nominated is because Beyonce released it.

I don't know why they ignored Britney...weird. I like some of her songs. I don't get how 4 didn't get a nomination for r&b album and then Chris Brown won it...people were going off at that...I'm sure FAME was a pop album with r&b influences...

I think it's disgraceful and actually proves that the Grammys actually mean nothing these days, I'm a huge fan of Beyonce, so I'm not against the amount she's won but more so the lack of what Whitney has won, when she's been around for decades and is considered to having one of the greatest voices ever.

Whitney is iconic, so for her to only have 6 Grammys is shocking, when the likes of Adele and other current artists are able to win 6 Grammys all in one night, I just think the Grammys is overhyped and more so about giving out awards to who is popular rather then material and credibility.

The Grammys were very odd in the past. They denied Whitney the best new artist award.

Beyoncé wasn't competing against Whitney though. I don't know why people bring up singers who have less than her. It's not her problem. I think she deserves all of them. It's not like she's won awards like Record of the Year or the other big 3. Don't forget 3 of them were with DC so she has 13 solo - one less than Alicia Keys. Why does no one say anything about Alicia's Grammys? Is it just because she can play the piano and Beyoncé can't? I'm not saying Alicia doesn't deserve hers, btw, just using her as an example.

I will be honest

Beyonce doesn't deserve her 16 grammys. She deserves about 1 or two of them alone. Same goes for Alicia keys who has won about 11 i think.

I don't think you can compare Grammys from back then to now.

I remember some taking the piss out of the Grammys a few years ago and saying along the lines of:

The Black Eyed Peas have more Grammys than Michael Jackson.

Beyonce has more Grammys than Madonna.

Alicia Keys has more Grammys than Britney Spears.

And I just think that this proved that they don't really go for the most 'talented' people sometimes, and they hate the most popular people at the time and just hone in on certain artists.

Really...why don't you look what she's won them FOR.

It took the Grammys several years to give Madonna respect and the respect for music in general as well!! Ray of light was her most awards she won for an album at the Grammys

another one who's been ignored is jennifer lopez she could've won a couple of them for the music video categories or dance categories.

Very well aware what she won them for. She has hardly won any of the big awards for much of her Iconic hits

Single Ladies for Record of the year, what an absolute piss take.

I love Beyonce but my god, the grammys have failed her personally.

Mariah Carey has also been woefully ignored by the Grammies.

Grammys have always been odd

Queen and Led Zeppelin.. neither won a Grammy (strange but true)

And yet... Queen have three songs in the Grammy Hall of Fame, Led Zeppelin have two.

Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven - ditto

Its a small circle of judges and they often have a vested interest so vote accordingly.

Thats not to say the Grammys never get things right... there are some justified winners.

Quite a shock but Beyonce has more talent than Madonna but i think Madonna is better dancer than Beyonce but bey can dance well though. she beats madonna by distant in vocal talent. Alicia has more talent than Britney. MJ is better than the Black Eyed Peas.
