Is 'The Judges' a better title now?

I'm totally fed up now with the judges being in competition with each other. It is spoiling what could have been a great show.

Its a waste of money to vote because you are only voting to let the judges choose who goes.
I admit it was a 'twist' but its a twist which has spoiled any credibility the show had as a search for talent.
It doesn't make good television imho.

We hear far more of the bickering than the singing. Its coming down to which judge has the better gimmick.Seriously going on camera and saying 'don't vote for Simon's acts',trailing in a dog and making a diva entrance and being subjected to point scoring in order to boost their own egos.

I'm fast loosing interest in what had the potential to be a fabulous show.Does anyone else agree with me?

....agree totally with you. It`s becoming more pantomime every week......we even have the accompanying booing and hissing. And why the heck do we have to waste 5 minutes at the beginning of the show by them coming out individually on stage - total waste of time.

I still love the show but there should definitely be more time spent on the singers themselves performing the song. Why cant we have the judges sitting in place at the start of the show instead of making grand protracted entrances?

......yes that would save time which would give the acts longer with their songs. I haven`t timed them....are they about 90 seconds long? They really need 2 minutes each to be able to "flesh" the song out more.

I'm going to watch Strictly Come Dancing this coming Saturday I've had enough of the bickering. Its supposed to be light entertainment. If I want to watch petty arguments I'll start watching soaps.

The show is currently 15 minutes longer than Pop Idol was at this stage so it would be very easy now for the singers to sing a song in its entirety. Some song choices do suffer when they are in a shortened version.

.....well I think I may join you after I have watched G4 (think it`s their turn to be on 1st or 2nd this week) and then tune in again when the results are being read out. I don`t usually like dancing, but I am rather partial to the delicious Dermuid Gavin

Twist just for the hell of it!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Totally pointless! The show is better off using the air time to lengthen the performance of the contestants then we can at least have more time to judge what the're really made of. Like what said on the show 1min to sell their song is not enough.

I posted this thread last week & glad that others feel the same as me.

I actually prefer watching the judges do their thing, it's what's made x-factor much better than any of the similar shows that have gone before it. It's been much more focussed on the judges, and their competition, than the actual talent. Everyone always complains that the best part of these shows is the first few shows, where we get to laugh at talentless people get their dreams crushed, then the actual show becomes boring, with the likes of Sharon letting rip on Simon, and him winding her up with his smugness, it's actually worth watching, regardless of which singers you prefer.
