Tube Map (by mxData) is a good free app for iPhone and iPad (think it has a section for Oyster as well but can't remember). Let's you put in two stations and then will tell you the quickest way to get there (let's you do it offline as well). I usually find my way around London pretty easily but I do use my iPhone to look at the map sometimes 'cos you don't look like a tourist then with an actual tube map.

I've found Google maps new 'public transport' direction search is the best for getting round London. Links up walking directions with tube and bus routes.
