Maybe even the 2 of them don't really know the truth or are working it out???

I thought it was very moving when he said, 'We came on as a duo and that's how well stay'.

Then again, there is so much manipulation that you just don't know.

PS 'I'm not finished you son of a bitch'

Clearly they will stay together for the duration of the show and then he will go solo .

Charlotte does have a really lovely voice too. I felt a bit sorry for her. She was maybe not the outstanding suprise Jonathan was but all the same she did sing beautifully as well when she could be heard.
But I wish Simon had asked them both to come back individually.
Jonathan was very shy and so I wonder if the singing teachers put him together with Charlotte to help him with his nerves.
In the end two exceptionally good teenage singers should really have been performed individually.
Their next song choice in hopefully a more even duet where Charlotte can be heard more.

Yes I agree with you. I thought they were vocally very good together. I loved Jonathan he was amazing and I thought he sounded like Pavarotti too at times, and at 17 he will go a long way and he seems a lovely young man I could easily have given him a cuddle such a fragile lad but full of talent. He just has big talent, and I would listen to him all day, I love opera.

I thought Charlotte was lovely a very beautiful girl inside and out, and was trying to support her friend. I actually thought it was she, who should ditch Jonathan, as I listened to them both again afterwards and she has actually got an amazing voice. She was however, been drowned out by Jonathans voice and we couldnt hear her properly or her potential.

I would love to see her on her own singing, and I would love to see Jonathan do the same, but I still like them as a duo.

I think we got 2 for 1 on that act but like i said i would like to hear her on her own as well.

Lizalynn I didnt read your post before i posted mine, and i said the same thing sort of.

I thought charlotte had a beautiful voice, and i dont think being paired with Jonathan who has huge talent did her any favours. I would love to hear her sing on her own.

Wrong microphones for completely different voices. Big setup! tried too hard for a subo moment. Both of them are equally good in their own way.

She supported him when he needed it and I don't think he would have been able to perform without her by his side. I personally think she was very brave knowing that most people (Simon included judging by his comment when they came on stage to what ever her name was sat next to him)judge by appearance first. Plus she has a good voice anyway.

you are such a cretin. i dont know how you live your life but how the bloody hell can you get all that from one performance, has it ever occurred to you that she is actually a nice person who is looking out for a vulnerable person.

The Prayer. Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli were the original singers.

Is it just me ? but Jonathan reminds me of Peter Kay's Mark Park, from his spoof duo 'Park Avenue'

Charlotte seemed like a lovely girl who has clearly helped Johnathon enormously and as others have previously stated he couldn't have done it without her. I'm also pretty sure that if the panel would have put only Johnathon through I think she would have been happy for him and proud of him. She's obviously been a really good friend to him.”

Very well said. Charlotte is 16 with a very good voice herself. She was rather overshadowed by Jonathan but he is absolutey exceptional. But if having her there singing very nicely beside him is what is giving him confidence at this stage then that is where she should be.

I thought she came across as an absolutely lovely girl, well aware that he was going to get the majority of the attention and delighted for her friend.

The people on this forum who can't see any good in people really make me sick.

I thought Charlotte had a lovely voice and both voices complemented each other. Aleesha was spot on when she said to Charlotte that she should not take Simon's comments to heart but she should be proud in her own right. Hope to see more of them.

Charlotte was his friend and will have been there as his friend to help him and give him confidence What the hell is wrong with that?

Why does everyone one have to be a 'leech' whos 'desperate to get on TV'

Maybe, just maybe, she was helping him as a friend, and without her he would not have gotten up on that stage. Not only that but Charlotte has a lovely voice too and I hope they highlight it more next time we see them (as we undoubtably will)

Wow that has to be the most miserly and hateful comment I have read on here.
Monk you can't actually believe what you have written. If you do then I feel for you having so much hate inside you.

What people saw on stage was just a short period of what has been a long friendship between the 2 of them.
It seems he has been the target of bullies and also having low self-esteem problems and singing with that amazing voice has been a way out of it.
Charlotte has clearly been the rock beside him that has pulled him through it and is protective of him. Good on her especially as the easy way out would have been to ignore him and leave him to survive on his own.

She acknowledged at the end of the show that the moment would be life-changing for him, and he seems the kind of lad that won't forget what she has done for him, when ( not if) he becomes a star in his own right.
Thank you

Not many girls would stick up for him like she has.
