Anyone else think that they sound the same? Bottom line...in my opinion...both use the same chord sequence / structure.

dont agree structure and chord totally diferent, more oomph in the jls one..

PS
One is one of the best songs of all time, amazing lyrics - great myrics and iconic chorus!!

The other is a song by a boyband better than their usual standard whilst good nothing iconic.

Even the verses are nothing like the former (imagines JB and Marvin squealing over the verse, and Ortise trying to cool, and Aston backflipping all the way through whilst admiring himself in the tv mirror).

I am just joking but point made...

Seriously JLS's debut album was amazing. Ever since they have churned out filler fuelled albums to just cash in and are slightly believing their own hype. I'm stunned they did not break the US i thought that out of the 3 bands they had a chance with 'Everybody In Love' which sounded very american to me...

Look at the JLS chorus Vs the Richard Marx chorus...they are exactly the same...the chord structure, not the tune!

Why? They are just another UK boyband. Heard of The Monkees, Bros, Big Fun, Take That, Westlife, Five, A1...et al?

There is one line that evokes similarities but I can't see anything other than that...imo both songs are rather MOR. And that Marvin may look nice but he really can't sing can he? :-/

Play the JLS chorus...and I guarantee that you will fit the Richard Marx chorus over the top...!

I was listening to them on Sport Relief last night...and I thought, I know that tune!

Fancy the JLS boys Zack? For me, the only decent one is Aston!

Everybody In Love could be anyone though couldn't it. I suppose it is very R 'n' B (which I don't like) ...a bit Boys II Men.
