Right around late 1999-early 2000 there were letting members go because of some issue with beyonce's father and the 2 girls of destiny's child fired him as their manager and shortly after they replaced the 2 with michelle and farrah. but farrah didn't even last a year she only lasted 4 or 5 months so she left. i heard bey say that missed 2 major appearances so that's why she left.

it was highly publicized because at that time it was like a breakthrough destiny's child and for beyonce as well at that time. they were being recognizable alrerady at that time. the radios would often make fun of them like who would be the last one to survive on the island or who's the last one standing. it was hard for beyonce to take all that criticism at a young age especially she was like 18 or 19 years old when all this drama happened.

she seemed to have handled it all well seemingly but it was hard for her personally of course. what do you think of the drama that happened?

destiny`s child for me will always be beyonce, michellle and kelly. that was my favourite line-up.

i think they worked best as a three piece and loved the later tracks with the shared vocals.

I've seen and read lots of interviews from both sides on this. From day one, Beyonce was always the lead in Destiny's Child. It was obvious to anyone. Beyonce was the lead singer and her father managed the group. I think what probably happened, is that some members quit or got kicked out of the group because they started to kick up a fuss about Beyonce being the focus. It was like that from day one though and it was clear that was how the group worked. Kelly and Michelle obviously never had a problem with it. They were all young girls at the time, and I think some of the stuff that the girls who quit/got kicked out said at the time, was probably lies they made up as they were so annoyed. They were only young at the end of the day. It seems to all be forgotten now anyway, as wen Beyonce performed at the Billboard Awards last year she thanked the old Destiny's Child girls.

i thought it was a classy thing that beyonce did at the billboard music awards by mentioning them. there was a big fuss on twitter that bey never mentioned farrah. anyway, farrah dissed beyonce on twitter because of not mentioning her name. well imo you didn't even last a minute with dc or even recorded a song so you didnt last long enough.

Well it was true, whether people want to admit it or not. The group was a stepping board for Beyonce to become the star that she is today. Her father managed the group and pushed Beyonce to the forefront. LaTavia and LaToya were equally as good as Beyonce in the early days so I can see why they might have been a bit miffed.

Kelly and Michelle didn't seem to mind about it. But I always thought that Beyonce stole the show from DC. I always pictured DC as just Beyonce.

Beyonce stealing the show was planned by her dad, there are ex members saying that Beyonce is fake and her and her father Matthew were a pain in the bum to work with.

Of course they'd say that. I think she shone naturally. You could blame her in DC (even though I think you can't). But look at her albums compared to theirs. On another level. She has ideas and themes and concepts that they don't, oh and a VISION too. And whenever I've seen her on tv, she's always been funny and gracious. Not a bitch at all.

With her father running the band, ther other girls weren't really going to have a chance, but saying that, Michelle and Kelly love her to bits and Kelly was doing a "Perez" interview and I don't think she would have been friends with Beyonce for nearly her whole life if Beyonce was that bad.

Beyonce still talks to Kelly and Michelle. IDK about the other members.
