Acer A500 mount x10i

Hi has anybody got any idea how i can mount my sony ericsson x10i to the a500 the tab has a usb port i can mount any usb with no problem but when i connect my phone via usb the phone says sd card mounted but nothing happends on the a500 tab ive got over 2000 pictures i want to put on my tab of the phone and i cant be botherd sending one by one via bluetooth lol i can access any other type of usb i plug into the port on the a500 even a 250gb hdd shows up but cannot for the life of me get the phone to connect any ideas please i am not root so no apps that need root will help me hear.

After mounting you normally have to authorise via the phone notification to 'allow device to copy'.

Cheers for reply yes when i plug the phone via usb to the a500 the notification pops up giving me two options first one is to charge the phone or to connect phone i choose connect phone the phone then states it is connected but nothing happends on the a500 cannot even see the phone via useing file managers would it be anything to do with the a500 being android and the phone is also android can android connect to android ? thanks
