Dave does have some interesting moves, especially in the video for Master and Servant with the blonde mullet.
I like Tora Tora Tora from Speak and Spell

Ah, The Mode. Have always liked them, but I liked them more the darker they got! So end of the 80s through the 90s to now. Sadly the darker they got, the worse Dave's drug habit got, it seemed, thankfully passed. Couldn't possibly list my all time fav track...too many! 101 I consider one of the best live albums by any band, & I'm not a lover of live albums generally.

But (speaking from a non-lust perspective!!) they do look very cool together! |

Reading the biography, it was during the recording of SOFAD that it was all falling apart badly. I think people genuinely thought it'd be their last album because it was doubtful that Dave was going to last much longer due to the drugs.
I find Martin a bit weird looking and Fletch does nothing for me. Dave and Alan were the lookers. But (speaking from a non-lust perspective!!) they do look very cool together! hehe!

![]() What do you think of Recoil? I had high hopes of Recoil because I know that Alan was the one who made the songs sound like they did - and he was excellent at it! So logically I assumed that him doing his own thing would be amazing...I can't say it has been. The stuff I have heard hasn't made an impact on me at all. I want to like it, I really do, but I'm just not impressed

Alan and Martin should join forces again.
Apparently there is a rumour that Alan may come back, not sure if true or not though

Is this due to the Facebook picture they put up the other night? If it is, then I think it's just fans looking into it way too much. His time with them was fantastic, but I don't think he should come back. As much as I love the man, I believe he went out on a high and it should stay that way.

Just wondering what do fans make of the album Ultra, Exciter and Playing The Angel?
How do they rank for you. I am still finding Songs Of Faith And Devotion...as i have (to date) Singles 1981-85, Black Celebration, Music For The Masses and Violator to date. |

I like Playing The Angel and a few songs from Ultra, but I think Exciter is my least favourite album

But i think reading reviews...critics and fan reception was very mixed on Exciter...and even Ultra too. But still think i may eventually check them out. |

I read it was produced by a Bjork producer (Homogenic) and i have heard Dream On (i think it was used in Charmed which is why i recognised it) and it is very different in style to their Alternative Dance/Synth drive.

Exciter does have a different sound, I prefer their late 80s and 90s stuff but you should still check them out anyway.

Cant wait to check out Devotion next and that 101 tour reccommended
....of course! But was basically wondering where to go next....but thanks so much for the post there ![]() Songs Of Faith And Devotion has a very rock sound, great album!

Ultra is pretty good, a fair bit of filler but as always the singles are great
