Next Sunday for April Fools Day I will be listening to an album that you guys decide is the worst album that has got to number 1 in the UK ever.

You can find a list of number 1 albums here http://bittersuiteband.com/music_uk-no1-hits-almums.htm so which one will you choose? Let me know and if it gets the most people talking about it I will listen to an review it on my "An Album A Day 2012" thread which is available here>>>http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1607817

Forever by Spice Girls is pretty terrible from what I remember... I haven't listened to it since the time of it's release and have no desire to so I could be wrong.

Ah my bad, Wikipedia has let me down again. That site is such a joke, it actually says it got to number 2 in the info part. But the part with the chart positions (The part I checked) says 1.

I think the Black and White Minstrels in 1961 getting to no1 was just wrong on so many levels.

I love this album. Well, maybe not love, but it's head & shoulders above the first two albums.
I still listen to it now. It has aged surprisingly well IMO.

I'd say JLS's first album is pretty bad.

So much choice, only one day

Do you pick a X-Factor or BGT wailer (Alexandra, Leona, SuBo)?

A 'music for people who don't like music' album (Corrine Bailey Rae, Paulo Nutini, Jack Johnson)?

Crappy euro-beats (Basshunter, Scooter)?

I'll suggest one I have a copy of - Maroon 5 "Songs About Jane". One good song, entirely unrepresentative of the album as a whole

Oh don't get me started on that! The two singles were the only songs worth listening to on that album. I do have a copy on cassette though but I never listened to it. I went through a brief phrase of liking Hear'Say but as soon as I heard Liberty X's Just A Little I became a fan of them instead.

Not in the UK, Rihanna beat them to it.
Ironically, she hasn't had a US #1 album yet, but they have.

Definitely. From what I've heard of most of their albums they were dreary and full of ballads. World Of Our Own was ok though, it had a couple of decent songs on it. I have a copy of Coast to Coast on cassette somewhere that I bought when I was about 10 (I liked them back then).

Cheryl Cole - Messy Little Raindrops
Not only one of the worst albums of 2010 (not a hater btw as i was addicted to her debut) but actually one of the worst albums i have ever listened to in my short life.

Cheryl Cole, Westlife, Hear'say or Scooter seem like good shouts to me (not that I'd want to listen to any of them of course!) - can anyone better them?
