She skated plenty on her own in the other though. In fact I think Matt had hold of Nina's hand more than Jorgie did Matts.

She relied too much on Matt. How can she be made to look like she was being carried she was either carried or not carried. You cannot make out you are being carried.

Yet Matthew visibly struggling to get Nina airbourne in one of their lifts was well brushed over by Robin.
Yet Jorgies lift was no better and she had an experienced skater lifting her and she was lighter than Matt's partner.

I don't think you understand my post at all and what I'm trying to get at. So I won't bother.

I enjoyed Jorgie's performances more too.

That was all a fix on the show's part to make it so that you shouldn't vote for Jorgie. The judges knew who was going to win anyway.

I think I must have blinked and missed this massive mistake in Jorgie's lift which everyone keeps mentioning. I'll try youtubing it later.
Jorgie's routine could have been skated to olympic standard and it seems many on here would've found fault anyway.

Well ITV have to remain loyal to their own employees.

Exactly . The show decided on their winner way before the semi-finals/finals came along

But her routine wasn't undermarked, it was marked very generously - a 10 and two 9.5s iirc. In fact, given the amount of dancing off the ice and dancing on the spot it was arguably overmaked.

Not that it matters, since the judges' marks didn't count tonight.

That's all there to just make it look like the Judges are not 'favoriting' certain celebs, they know who the winner is right before all of the routines started. I personally didn't like any of the showcases, totally and utterly boring, all three of them.

Seriously I'm getting sick of all this 'men have it harder.. omg these lifts they have to do.. oh dear... booo hooo'

This whole thing is getting tiresome beyond belief. The reason she was getting.. as you say... 'carried on ice' is because the show fixed it so that she was, so that our beloved Matthew wins. How lovely.
Oh my goodness - sour grapes

She and Matt did fluff the final lift. She might have won if that had gone okay. Chico was out because he totally missed the lift. Hers was an aborted half-lift, but enough to be considered an error. She is very fluid for those brief few seconds when she is allowed to skate on her own.

But the judges' marks didn't count, only the public vote, so even if you think the judges were favouring someone because they thought that somebody was better than your favourite, it was the public that decided the winner. Are you seriously suggesting that everyone who voted for Matthew (and Chico, presumably) was somehow manipulated by ITV? Did they get Derren Brown in to send out subliminal messages or something?

Matthew won fair and square.

Well said, and the best person won.

HIGHLY doubt she would of won if there was errors in her perfomances or not.

Some errors are more apparent than others. A flawless Bolero from Jorgie, with comments from the judges acknowledging it as perfect, could be enough for a victory. Last year Sam won because basically Colin and Laura's Bolero was substandard.

No I don't think that at all. DOI wanted Matthew to win. People could of voted for Jorgie millions/billions/trillions of times, she would still lose no matter how many people vote for her.

All of what happened last year happened tonight. Laura was not allowed to show her full potentional and neither was Jorgie.

Ah, so you're actually saying the vote was rigged? That's a serious accusation and you should contact Ofcom immediately if you have reason to believe this is the case.

So now you're saying ITV have fixed the votes.

Actually one thing I would say about Laura is that she was certainly allowed to show her full potential skating wise - she has certainly shown herself to be a much better skater than Jorgie. Her bolero wasn't as good as Sam's sadly but that was due to Colin's inexperience & also he was clearly overawed by having to choreograph it & this fear was transferred to Laura IMO.

so when the percentage voting figures are released they'll have been all made up then?

I can understand the show being able to manipulate viewers but because of past phone rigging scams I think that it's highly unlikely the actual vote numbers are rigged.

Haha I love how defensive Matthew's supporters get when I make my own personal opinions . Love it!
