Will Girl Gone Wild be more successful than Gimme All Your Love?

I think it'll flop too, pretty hard

I don't think Madonna is a singles artist any more, so I'm not expecting much.

I hope for strong album sales for MDNA, though.

Masterpiece would be a better second single and a big hit I think. Radio 2 are already playing it a lot.

Really disappointing there's not going to be a video for it, though. I can understand why, given how busy Madonna is with preparing for the tour, but a song like that could have a really beautiful video.

No, it's going to be one of her least successful songs in terms of both commercial and critical response and I'm afraid it's going to set the era up for failure, unless they have a really good plan about the promotion of the 3rd single, which seems unlikely. It would be beyond ironic if 'GMAYL' was the album's only decent hit despite being one of the weakest tracks!

Sometimes, I wish she wasn't so focused on the tour! The album has been so overshadowed!! It was supposed to be her big return, but there's no promo or good single releases.

I agree

Its shame cause GGW is such a great club track and perfect for Spring/summer.

GGW should of been the 1st single imo, if im honest GMAYL is very weak compared to other tracks i think it was chosen as thew 1st single to fit with the whole superbowl performance.

Well, whatever the case, the single releases have been a mess, which is frustrating, because she has a lot of hidden gems on the album. 'GMAYL' leaked VERY early, so even if there were plans to release it as the lead single already, they should have scrapped it. The lead single is the most exciting part of an album campaign and they ruined it imo.And I never liked 'GGW', so I can't really say I would have liked it to be the lead single.

If I was to choose ( ), I'd suggest releasing 'Turn Up The Radio' in February, premiere it at the Superbowl (alongside with the cheerleading parts of 'GMAYL' and maybe a short snippet of the song) and then release the video and the single. Then, she could release 'I'm Addicted' 2 weeks before the album with a hot video just days before 'MDNA'. But that's just what I think

It's not being released as an official single in the U.K, so it'll only get charted if people buy the album version, even then it won't reach the top 200.

its already #90 on itunes and `masterpiece` is #94.

I would be surprised if any single from MDNA makes the top 10.

Give Me All Your Luvin'. I know lets give it away on itunes meaning it does not count as sales. Lets make the CD avaliable on the 19th March -6 weeks too late. No 12" picture disc and no maxi CD.

Girl Gone Wild. Make a video say it's the new single then get radio 2 to a-playlist Masterpiece which does not have a cd release either or video?

Interscope must take some responsibility here. It's a mess and heads should roll.

This is how i would of played it. Gang Bang double a-side with Give Me All Your Luvin' as first single. That allows Madonna to perform GMAYL at superbowl but also creates a fuss about the Gang Bang song name and explosive video.

2nd Single I'm A Sinner to be released 19th March one week before album. With religious video. With performance on The Voice UK.

We could have got 2 big hits before the album is launched. Madonna also plays a radio 1 gig in London on album launch week, all tickets go to icon and radio 1 listeners. This would ensure a radio 1 a-playlisting for all singles from the album. Making promotion that much easier.

3rd single Turn Up The Radio to be released in summer around the tour.

4th and final single. Double A with remixes of I'm Addicted and Love Spent.

I hope Girl Gone Wild we be a hit, I love the song, to me it's a classic Madonna track. I have no idea if the song will get released in the UK. The song has been available in the USA for some time now.

I dont know. It is a shame as it is a dance track to compete with a lot out there in the charts.

But Turn Up The Radio has summer smash all over it! If Interscope really pull a leg out with the song they could ensure a top 10 hit on their hands for Madonna with MDNA for the summer. It reminds me of similar vibes i get when i hear "get together" or "holiday" you know...i like O.Michels thinking....if TUTR was the lead and it launched on the Half Time Show it would have ensured it was a MONSTER hit i feel. But unfortunately didnt happen so therefore i reckon it should be a summer smash.

Would love for "gang bang" to be released...i mean imagine if M and Tarantino hooked up visually it would be something else like the song itself! Can imagine "controversy" and hysteria around it too for its own promo too.

Im A Sinner, Love Spent and I Dont give a...also are screaming for a release each too. Basically MDNA i truly feel is an album with so much potential.

Unfortunately i dont think MDNA will really have that much attention focused on it past April really as the tour will be in full swing come the end of May.

But still MDNA is impressive very much so and deserves its own success

But definitely singles wise...she has so many "potential hits" it is gutting she and Interscope havent pulled a finger out to ensure it.

I read somewhere then when Guy Ritchie and Madonna got married tarantino said 'i guess i will have to marry Elvis Presley to get even'
I think he is more likely to work with Lady gaga, he lent her his 'Pussy wagon' for the telephone video and he has apparently cast her in a cameo role in his next movie. Django unchained

madonna said that `gang bang` was inspired by tarantino, i think that is what josh was getting at. she also said she couldn't afford him anyway.

I never thought the day would come when Madonna had to struggle in the singles chart. If there were CD SINGLES I'd buy them...but I'm not downloading they can eff awwwf

everyone said this when gmayl came out and there was a cd single released last week. i think i am one of the few that did buy it. ggw hasn't had a digital release in the uk as a single, so its doubtful there will be a cd single at this point.

I don't know if it will do better but I still think it won't be a hit. It's a bit strange to hear a 50 odd year old woman referring to herself as a girl and saying she's going wild. Sort of something a 20 year old singer would sing about.

It's also very lack lustre. It lacks energy and passion, her vocals don't have enough edge in them ! A song about going wild should make others feel like going wild when listening to it. I listen to it and feel like going to sleep!

Is girl gone wild being sent to the UK music channels ? It's a brilliant video! But Yeh agree with what's being said, promo has been damn awful.
