Is there anyone he isn't working with/hasn't worked with/isn't going to be working with? Fair enough, when you're hot properpty you make the most of it while you can, but I think he has to be the most overexposed producer ever at this point. I've never known a producer to be so heavily publicised and I suppose I just don't get the hype? It's not that I dislike his work, but some new blood would be nice.

How'd he become so massive in what seems like so little time? To me it's like he's come from nowhere and instantly become this darling of the music world. It's weird.

It's because of Sexy Chick and I Gotta Feeling in 2009 that he's become so big now.

It seems like he's more popular than he is, because most songs you hear on the radio, if not produced by him, are still attempts to copy Sexy Chick or I Gotta Feeling. And he seems more popular at the moment because he has 2 massive hits out at once.

I'd say other producers such as Dr. Luke and Timbaland were/are bigger than him.

I agree that some new blood would be good. A lot of David Guetta's songs, at least the ones that make the charts, sound all the same, and there's too much dance music around as a whole.

Close your eyes and he'll be gone until you open them again

Indeed. I mean, it's not like he's been releasing material for nearly ten years or anything like that

Oh wait ..

Just a Little More Love is the debut studio album by David Guetta, released on June 10, 2002

I hadn't heard of him in 2002.

I don't think I'd heard of him until a couple of years ago, and it's only recently that he's been REALLY hyped up...which is my point, really.

Same here but i learn to get on with my life. I know their artists i love that others wouldn't want to see their names about. It's how it is.

He does seem to be in the charts a lot recently and is overexposed but saying that i do like him and think most of his recent songs have been very good (like Titanium and Without You). BTW OP he has a new song coming out in a few weeks with Jessie J so im sure you'll be looking forward to that

Er. good for you.

This was only a little rant thread on a forum where rant threads are common. I don't quite get these kind of replies on threads like this, to be honest.

Nooooooooo.

I think I'm going to hide under my bed until this David Guetta craze is over.

I wasn't trying to be an arse, even though the reply probably looked like i was. I was in the midst of a short mischevious period and posted many snarky replies to different threads, so i do apologise if it annoyed you - was never the intent.

It's always the same with a lot of these artists that have been around for a long time though. Once they take off and we become aware of them, we usually think they've sprung from nowhere in a short space of time.

I'm sure i once heard of a case of someone winning a best newcomer award and laughing in his acceptance speech as he'd been doing that particular thing for ten years as well.

David Guetta loves himself more than he loves music. This is a true statement.

Well he will be releasing another single from his album and is playing numerous UK festivals this year. So you will be hearing even more from him on radio/tv etc. But you can always change the channel!

Not that easy. His name is literally everywhere right now. And if he's releasing another album and working with Jesse J it's going to get even worse.

I appreciate that he's good at what he does, but I hate it when anything is this overexposed.

I like some of his stuff:

Sexy Chick
Memories
Turn Me On
Night Of Your Life
Crank It Up
Little Bad Girl
One Love

Are good songs and definitely get me dancing at a party I agree he's overexposed though.

I'm not sure what he actually does... he doesn't write, he mixes... and the stuff he mixes happens to have been ripped right off someone else.

He did BEPs - I gotta feeling... Snow Patrols - Open your eyes

Titanium - The Police, Every breath you take.

When love takes over - Coldplay, Clocks.

The list is endless...

His song with Jessie J is a carbon copy of the song he just did with Sia, and probably will be the same as the next song he does with a female singer...

DJ/Producer/Remixer. He's been around way before When Love Takes Over was released.

He probably was influenced by the tracks you listed and many DJs sample tracks too.
In fact ...http://www.dailystar.co.uk/playlist/...-Kings-Of-Leon

Also he's not the only DJ involved with the whole dance trend.
You can add Benny Benassi, Swedish House Mafia,Afrojack, Tiesto etc to the list.

I've known who he was for nearly 10 years. Used to dominate MTV Dance (or whatever it used to be called). Then he started getting more well known when he modeled Loreal hair wax, and then the collabo with The Egg, which then led to him working with the Black Eyed Peas and Akon.

I think his last 2 (Titanium and Turn Me On) are his two best tracks. All his other stuff sounded vary samey. When Love Takes Over is one of the most overated songs ever

He may be overexposed for sure but he's worked hard to get where he is right now. 10 years+ is a long time, some might say his success is well deserved.

When Love Takes Over was played EVERYWHERE when it came out first! That put me off the song rather quick. Titanium is getting overplayed a lot too but I love Turn Me On even though I'm not much of a Nicki Minaj fan.

I hate how when you complain about someone being overexposed, you get accused of wishing they weren's successful.

I haven't once hinted that I'd like his career to fail or for him to disappear. I just wish the hype would be toned down. That's all.

It's still pretty rare for a DJ/producer to have such mainstream in-the-public-eye exposure. So I say good on him, milk it until it runs dry.

Titanium Ft Sia & Turn Me On Ft Nicki Minaj- are both in the UKTOP10,thats the reason why, dont like Guetta? Do not create undesired forums about him, i believe he was rather good on the Graham Norton Show:

If he milks it too much, might it not run dry quicker?
