In the email i got, they said "in 5 to 7 days, a credit of £7.99 should be posted to the credit card that appears on the receipt of your purchase".
So what does this mean?

Sounds to me like you are getting a cash refund.
iTunes have agreed to credit my iTunes account with 99pnafter I was charged the full £7.99 rather than the £7.00 I should have been!
ooo, result.
Got charged £7.99 and £7.00
itunes have refunded the £7.99 and ALSO 99p for GMAYL so technically got it for £6.01 whoop
