I think it's actually quite boring and bland and the constant whistle type sound in the background is really annoying.

It'll top the US charts next week. He has over 65k sold today alone. And fun. only have 29k. So he could sell 462k overall. WOW.

I quite like this song. At first I was like it's okay and then I listened to it again and it's definitely growing on me.

I love it tbh. The start bit reminds me of that My Neck, My Back song

I dont think his sales will be as big as that all week, i predict it will drop substantially after 2 or 3 days.

I bet they will. Katy sold over 440k of Part Of Me (she did have the grammys though). His US fans have been waiting for this for months. There's been a countdown and everything. I don't think they'll drop. His leading margin is huge (I know it's only day one). But he's topping charts around the world. It's mental. But apparently it's not out here till May

I really like it (it gets better with each listen so far).

It kind of has the same vibe about it that 'Slave 4 U' had for Britney in 2001 - a decidely new era. Definitely a quick swerve in musical direction, and for the better imo.

*Goes to listen again*

I agree, it's completely different from his debut in a really good and exciting way. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of his album and how this new sound develops

Listened to it yesterday and the only positive thing I can say for it is it made me want to listen to one of the best pop songs ever Girlfriend by Nsync

also the verse were he is attempting to rap just reminded me of Jizz In My Pants by The Lonely Island...not entirely sure that was quite what he was hoping for

I remember Baby had similar sales before dropping off. The majority of his fans bought it straight way or buy it soon after.

He is collaborating with Ke$ha, Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Will.I.Am, Asher Roth, Usher and Taylor Swift aparently which is a lot of collabs. Pretty impressive line up that .

I'm intrigued at what the end product of a Justin and taylor collaboration would sound like.

Just typical average pop with some awkward rapping.

The singing parts sound OK to me, but whoever keeps telling Justin he can rap needs to be shot. It's actually quite cruel making him embarass himself like this - the song would sound so much better if he sang the verses.

I thought he had brought in someone else for the rapping parts? Someone on Youtube said it was someone else (forget who though).

I'm pretty sure it's him rapping. If you listen to some of his other 'raps' it sounds like the same person. I heard that Mike Posner produced the song but I can't hear any of his vocals on it.

Ahh right ok. I thought it was him before reading the YT comments, they just threw me and I thought it was some kind of collab.

I agree JB shouldn't rap as he is pretty useless at it

I'm not sure at the moment It feels short and sort of... unfinished...

The beat's okay, but the song is too short (and, to be honest, rather boring!)

It's not bad actually. I like the spoken verses and the mellow production but not too keen on the chorus, reminds me more of Chris Brown then of JT tbh.
