I'm a 26 year old guy and his performance made the hairs on my neck stand out. I can't wait to see him at the next round.

Reminds me of Joshua Radin somewhat...

You know, now that The Voice is around, he looks like he'd be more suited to that, I'm not sure if the public will vote in their droves for him to get him into the final?

The Telegraph reviewer said that as well. I think he'll make the final.

No he was the young lad who sang 'Make You Feel My Love'.

I agree he should have gone on The Voice, maybe he tried but didn't make it through to the coaches?

Anyway, I thought he was brilliant. Would like him to make the final anyway.

I think some contestants prefer BGT to shows like the voice and X Factor, simply because you can get the same exposure without having to go through all those rounds. Shaun Smith admitted it in 2009 when the press asked why he hadn't tried for X Factor. Jai McDowall did got for X Factor but couldn't sing the easy listening stuff he was most comfortable with and crashed out at boot camp.

I would actually prefer it if they discouraged the singers from BGT and aim for more variety acts. If you're not a dance troup or singer you have very little chance of winning.
