Strictly band led by musical director Dave Arch.
Witness a music and dance

after the curtain falls.

So... just Artem & Kara, Robin & Kristina, and Davearch?
Seems a bit minimal for, presumably, and hour and a half theatre show?

This isn't Craig's thing is it?

Great idea for a tour.

Just a shame I'm going to be away for the only London date.

Well, I've been dying to see Kara and Artem dance together, so it makes me happy!

BIB - I could be wrong, but I think that Craig's thing might be his appearances on cruise ships (P and O??) alongside some of the Strictly pros. Dunno really .

Does anybody know how much the tickets will be, or do we find out on Friday?

The prices are on ticketmaster, it depends on the venue and where you are seated, but it looks like prices range from £21.45 to £49.50 (which I assume are the best seats)

Tempting... Manchester doesn't seem to be up on Ticketmaster yet so guess it depends what they are pricing it as. I do like Artem and Robin, can take or leave the ladies though.

Thank you - looks like the price will be near the top end in Cardiff, unfortunately.

Mind you, the sites don't even agree on dates - one says Saturday and the other Wednesday!

Quite a difference if one has to travel to get there!

I'm thinking of going to the Reading date as that's about the nearest to London. It'll probably take about the same time to get there from West London as it does to get across London to the O2.

this might be a really daft question but is it just Artem, Kara, Kristina and Robin and the Strictly Band?

Yes it is.
Sounds good to me
Just wish they were playing a date in Ireland!

[i]news: Kara Tointon Joins Strictly Professionals For 'Dance To The Music' http://t.co/YrJ9HzR4

The tour will mark the first time that the entire fifteen-piece Strictly Come Dancing band, led by musical director Dave Arch, have performed together live away from the Strictly studio. Dance To The Music will also reunite Kara and Artem once more on the dance floor as they perform some of their favourite dances from Strictly as well as brand new routines in an intimate theatre setting – allowing audiences to get closer to the action than ever before.

Dance To The Music will bring the Strictly band and singers into the spotlight for their own unique performances as well as giving the couples another chance to dance to a selection of show-stopping classic and modern tunes. The audience will be taken on a lively journey through dances ranging from an American Smooth to a Viennese Waltz – with some surprises along the way.

Strictly dancing to the music? Well that will be different!!!! Mostly on the show timing (i.e. dancing to the music) is largely ignored.

Dancing to music is likely to happen because coffins, grand pianos, umbrellas, mirrors etc have been banned. Without a joke celeb or 3 stooges on the bench this will be true professional dancing and a compliment to Kara. I might even fly in one night -- a compliment to Kara.

However Artem suffered a painful neck injury when lifting Kara, and Kara suffered a serious forearm injury turning a backflip. This couple are too brave for their own good. If I was an underwriter I would not sell them insurance cover.

Thanks back from my short vacation then. Will look to book somewhere there...

Have people had pre sale emails from See Tickets and Ticketmaster with links to a pre sale which starts tomorrow (Thurs 29th)?

Ive received at least these two today.

Pre-sales with O2 Priority moments were available yesterday (weds) and Tickestmaster from today (not sure about See). Some people have been able to book direct in the venue, while others are not selling tickets before Friday. Some of the pre-sales seem to not let you choose your seat, just 'best available' (from their particular allocation, I guess), while other people have been able to choose seats. It doesn't seem to be the same for every venue.

(I say 'people', I'm talking about forum members from the Kartem and Artem ATs . I don't recall seeing anyone reporting about Reading yet)

Even without all the props and jokey routines, there are many occasions when the couples are not in correct time to the music. I think this is one reason they try and use really obscure music, in the hopes no one will notice!!!

The final pose of a Strictly dance caps a performance like a clash of cymbals in a symphony. To be effective this has to be acccurate to within a tenth of a second. Fair enough if a beginner celeb in fear of falling over cannot get timing right. However most Strictly pro dancers do not even try. Contrast this with the way Joanna finished.

Just looked at the presale on Ticketmaster and can't see Manchester on there at all. It's mentioned on Seetickets though. Still undecided on this one.
