Thorntons Viennese Truffles
These are my favourite chocolates from Thorntons - I could eat the all day !
![]() Is there any way I can make these at home ? Is there a recipe tucked away on the web somewhere ? |

Why can't you search for them yourself? Don't you know how to use a search engine? Just type chocolate truffles into Google and see for yourself, it's not too difficult. Jamie Oliver, Delia Smith, Nigel Slater recipies are there at the top of the list. |

Yes, there are quite a few recipies on the web, they are not 'tucked away'.

I would think Thorntons would make them pretty much the same as anyone else but they would use their own dark chocolate.

The Vienese truffles aren't like regular make your own at home truffles. They're more mousse-like in a reasonably hard milk chocolate shell with sugar on the outside.
Can't help with your plea, OP, just explaining. |

You won't find the actual Thorntons recipe anywhere OP as I'm sure it'll be a secret recipe, just like for their toffee and other chocolates.

Here's the best recipe I can find - I make lots of truffles but they're usually just from ganache but this is a proper mousse using gelatine to hold it's shape...

I think Thornton's chocolates are very overrated. I'd actually rank them lower than run-of-the-mill cadbury or galaxy.
