In no way do these two have sexual chemistry. They have good chemistry but it isn't sexual. I like them as friends.

I always liked Lane with the black bunny girl. That was a sweet relationship.

Not necessarily sexual chemistry, but they'd be good together. He'd value her, and she's have the refined kind of guy I think she needs.

I'd hate for Mad Men to turn into a show where everyone starts hooking up with each other. This is not 90210, people! That's why I love that Peggy and Don have never been. They never should be.

As for Joan's baby, I think there will be some flashbacks with Joan and Roger for sure. Kind of like Don visiting Peggy in the hospital.

Although from the dramatic aspect, I assume that this storyline will actually lead somewhere.
That could be a rich vein to tap. My personal guess is that one of the CVs will be spectacular and there will be a split within the partners of whether to hire a negro (it would be easy for them to summarily fire one of their current secretaries to make room - at least one seems to be being set-up as useless). We already know that Roger is xenophobic, from the Honda episode and I can foresee an unlikely alliance between him and Pete being against the idea.

Hooking up doesn't necessarily mean sex. But rather character dynamics and relationships. Don has never banged Peggy, but he's had the mentor/friend dynamic with her.

Don and Peggy have a bond, but they shouldn't ever hook up. Would make a mockery out of Peggy's character, she knows what he's like. She's a strong character who sticks up for her self. She would never sleep with Don. She wants the same respect as the men get and as some one creative she wants to be like Don.

Peggy doesn't know about Dick does she? that would bond them even more. Peggy should be to Don what Anna was. A friend he loves.

Pete, though, has kind of been set up as the most racially enlightened (relatively, of course) of the American SCDP partners (think back to Admiral televisions).

Roger was anti the Japanese as he fought in the war, and objected to working with the enemy.

Although it was cleverly nuanced. Pete's only interest in blacks was as a potential market, and he couldn't see why prejudice should get in the way of business.
When I think of how the BBC would have handled it (think "diversity training for pre-school children"), I positively cringe.

She doesn't, but I thought he would've told her in The Suitcase at the end when he finds out about Anna.

Wow Betty's beefed up a bit I presume her scenes were filmed whilst she was pregnant

And a mixture of prosthetics and body doubles.

Even as a bit of a pregnant hippo January Jones is lovely.
Dunno if anyone else has noticed this, but Betty has a very slight lisp, and so does Sally. I wonder if their lisp is a director's instruction to give them an identical trait, or if the two actresses just happen to have a natural lisp.

Assorted notes from the new episode:

*Anybody else pick up on a couple of sly winks/nods to Game of Thrones in the latest episode?

- This scene's "you're my king" line
- Bert Cooper: "this is medieval!"

* http://gif.mocksession.com/wp-conten...PBELL-KTFO.gif : greatest Mad Men .gif ever?

* Pete's prozzie in the linked clip has to rank pretty high on the all-time hottest chicks on Mad Men scale (and I like the incidental resemblance with the drivers' ed girl)

* I really like how Roger's prozzie looks like an older, more "worn-down" Joan

* Do you think it was Peg or Pete who told Roger about Ken's side job? I lean Peg.

* I think my dad still has the same model Hi-Fi set as Pete.

* "Chewing gum on his pubis" has to top the list of sentences that become uproariously funny when uttered in a posh British accent.

* Funnniest episode in Mad Men history?

Last nite's episode was great. Loved:

Pete's prostitute trying on different roles before he found one that worked for him.

How all the men are unhappy, searching, unsettled EXCEPT for Don. That just feels so upside down. How long will it last?

The sportscoats - hilarious and cringeworthy at the same time.

Don not remembering Cosgrove's wife's name and saying, "Hello, YOU!"

And I love everything about Lane - I will never look at chewing gum in the same way.

Mmmm not sure about this episode might have to watch it again - liked the update on the background of Ginsberg but the rest of it seemed odd - must have been the drugs
