It's World Whisky Day!
Any whisky lovers here? You must have a wee drop tonight then. I don't like it at all but my dad had a glass of Bells every night. We were never short of what to buy for Father's Day or birthdays!

I'll be cracking open some Tullamore later on, glad I've got a good excuse now!

I could use a little about now..but, from other threads here on DS, Ive been told that American whisky is awful. I thought Jack Daniels was made from an old Scottish recipe.

When I arrived here at the weekend I picked up a Litre of Isle of Jura for €17 so I'll open that tonight and celebrate the day.

Jack D is OK, there are better bourbons about, I prefer Makers Mark or Wild Turkey myself. Jack Daniels came from Welsh Stock if I remember correctly.

I love most whiskys but tried Jack Daniels twice didnt like it at all. Now I can quite happily sit there with a bottle of Jamison's and drink that neat well apart from the 2 ice cubes that is lol
Most other whiskys I drink with lemonade . Once I bought a bottle of Canadian whisky from Tescos YEEEE GODS it took me two more bottles at later dates !!! before I realised that it gave me the most horrible hangovers thought I had a brain tumour it was that bad lol. Dont get hangovers with Jamison's
