Sharon Osbourne on Paul O'Grady Show
Sharon was just on with Paul O'Grady - looked great and was lovely, joining in with reading 'Red Riding Hood' to a group of kids. She said she would love one of her acts to win - but thinks either Rowetta or Steve will be the outright winner. Also said that Tabby and Cassie are already winners and will do well. Was gutted that Roberta was voted out early, but thinks she'll still have a good career. Also said that she doesn't hate Simon - but he 'bugs' her. Admitted that she had to think very hard before speaking in case she swore. I think she's a great lady.

Think shes won me over again. Bit annoyed with her from Saturday, but she seemed really nice on Paul OGrady with her little dog and Paul's daft dog

She is one of the nicest people on TV at the moment. She is the one judge who actually seems to appreciate she is messing with people's futures here, unlike Cowell and Walsh.
I'm glad she has Tabby running for her. |

Oh how quickly they forget. I agree that Sharon is charming, vivacious and very difficult to dislike, but hearing her tell another human being "You've got no soul" achieved that difficult task for me. However fake these shows are, you could see how wounded Steve felt - and understandably so. I was appalled, and I remain so.

Yes, I did think that was a bit nasty of her but Steves a big boy now (girls don't be getting ideas from that
) and he will get over it...although he looked as though he was going to burst into tears

Yeah, it was an unnecessary and hurtful thing to say, Steve looked like he was going to burst out crying.

It's all part of the pantomime. They have all said nasty things. Simon told Roberta she would be good in an hotel, he didn't say whether that was singing or not.
Simon seems to have got away with saying some really hurtful things over the last few years, he's built a tv career on it. It seems he is now fancied by a lot of women, and his judgement thought better of than anyone elses. Admittedly he knows what he's doing, but it is possible that he isn't always right. I wonder if it's his looks, after all Louis is successful so he knows what he's at too, but he is derided. I also wonder if Sharon's comments are considered worse because she is a woman.

This persona Sharon has created has indeed been very successful for her.Do all her admirers know anything about Sharon Osbourne other than this 'creation' who appeared first in The Osbournes? There's a whole lot more to this ruthless business woman......much of which she'd rather you didn't know about.

sharon has her dark side like everyone and this was shown by her attack on steve who was visibly shaken by it. She went down in my estimation by her vitriolic attack in the press on michelle mcmanus.....she dont like it done to her hubby or children she says so therefore she should practice what she preaches.

![]() I know that Ozzie was addicted to drink and drugs for a long time, during which he was physically and mentally abusive towards her. I know she stayed with him and still adores him, even though his years of self abuse have wrecked his body. I know she is fiercly loyal and loving of her husband and children. Whatever else she is, she's protective of those she loves, she isn't scared of hard work, or of being exactly who she is. I see nothing wrong with being a hard nosed business woman.

Aww, I love Sharon. I just wish there wasn't this horrid judges' twist that makes me angry with her (in advance). Yes I know it is all pantomime but where does it stop and the real stuff start?
Also Kewpee, I have to agree with you, what exactly is wrong with being a hard-nosed businesswoman? You don't really hear that as an insult when it is a man Anyone who is so protective of their family is alright by me

I don't believe (a) that there is anything wrong with being a hard-nosed businesswoman, (b) that Sharon's loyalty to her family has ever been in doubt or (c) that Simon is a remotely pleasant human being. I'm not saying that Sharon's not still the most likeable judge on the show. But the coldness and nastiness of her comment to Steve stopped me liking her, that's all.

I really like this 'creation' but that is what it is......a creation. ![]() Probably my fault fanniani. I wasn't taking issue with you, just logging what I do know about Sharon, and probably what has led to her present incarnation.

![]() The original meaning of sinistar is left/left handed, and since people have always picked on difference sinsiter meaning left became an insult. Be Sinister and be proud. |

I am not saying her opinion is right but I don't think she was being nasty just telling him that he is good but singing the wrong stuff. |

She compared him to Micheal Bolton. Now he is a hughly successful and popular singer his haircut may be dodgy but nobody critisizes his ability to sing.
I am not saying her opinion is right but I don't think she was being nasty just telling him that he is good but singing the wrong stuff. Seems she believes certain genres are strictly the domain of black artists - which is a confusing and debatable point - (didn't Gladys Knight complain about George Michael receiving a MOBO years ago???) but certainly don't think she was being malicious towards Steve. |
