Karen Carpenter
She had to be one of the best female singers there has ever been. So effortless and relaxing, she didn't strain or have to do high notes, just stunning.
Such a shame she passed so young. Any other Karen fans? |

Love her voice, the best ever without a doubt, I listen to her on an almost daily basis, she never oversang, never warbled, never shouted, she could teach singers a thing or two these days.
Simply stunning, been listening to them since the early 70s. |

Such a shame she passed so young. Any other Karen fans? It is terribly sad that she died so young from the effects of anorexia. |

She had some deep husky tones for someone so petite.

Amazing singer and tragic story. Rumer very much reminds me of her in some of her songs (without trying to be a tribute act of course).

She had a stunning voice, I'm only 20 so never really knew of her growing up but discovered her around the age of 15 and fell in love with that voice.
One of my favourite songs is "Rainy days and Mondays". She had something very simple and effortless about her voice that you don't get these days. |

Karen was a musical genius!
She was better than the Kylies, Britneys, Beyoncés, Tulisas, J-Los and Lily Allens of this world will ever be! |

Great vocalist but a bit Vanilla for my tastes but like Vanilla soft, soothing, and always a pleasure.
