The past 3 years Aaron's been one the show biggest character. I think Danny's made the right choice when he decided to leave as the character was going round in circle and wasn't interesting anymore. That said, it's a real shame that his exit storyline isn't about Aaron and the end of coming of age journey but more a plot device for Cameron to offer support to Chas by unzipping his trousers in the Wollie's cellar

You're welcome!
I'm not actually cracking the champagne open until I see the door clash behind the Grim Weeper - so I should be nice and merry to enjoy browsing all the goings on on t'Daily during my last Tinternet visit before bedtime!

He was begging for people to multi vote in soap awards and then came the Jackson SL day after day we were subjected to unrelenting misery, he became a laughing stock because of the over use of a tear stick. He is hardly the epitome of a cheery young man, always surly, bad mannered, treating people, especially his mum with disdain. We are meant to believe that that someone who goes around with his trousers stuffed in his socks is a love God that no man can resist. Recently we have seen Ed stalking this object of desire and all of a sudden his loyalties have turned to Adam who we have seen having punch ups in the pub after insulting his mum and trying to murder is uncle, I mean what couldn't you like about him and now he is prepared to admit to starting the fire in the garage and Cain etc going along with this stupid SL. That is my take on it anyway
Well said, Tinkles!

Thanks!
They wouldn't entertain me as a scriptwriter - I have too much commonsense, I know too many long words - and I have a good memory for plots and the established personality traits of the characters!

I couldn't care less what they do with him as long as he definitely goes - I've been sick of the sight of him since his arrogant, thoughtless thuggery got the dog, Clyde, killed!

Bring on the Cameron trouser unzipping - and make it snappy!

Laughing - he might as well - let's face it, he couldn't look and act like a bigger eejit if that was exactly what he'd set out to do!

Well, I've racked my brain for something - anything - to say about last night's offering - but apart from Dim David finally finding a milieu which doesn't exceed the capabilities of his IQ - i.e. entertaining a bunch of kids - Jake-cub showing the first symptom (a big orange face) of having contracted 'Orangina syndrome' , Rachel proving how desperate she is to snag a man, any man, and Alicia looking very pretty, the only thing which remains is (insert own dramatic music) the seemingly never-ending 'Who tried to barbecue Cain?' saga!

Why did I watch it? I'd made up my mind I wasn't going to and when it was over I wished I hadn't!

I suppose there's something mindbendingly compelling about watching the hysterical Boretons and the previously street-smart Dingles listening meekly to the ludicrous reasoning of the lachrymose, self-harming, boyfriend murdering Golden Weeper as if he were some kind of saviour saint!

Will I be drawn back in tonight?

I don't know - much depends on whether the hubba gets in late from work again and I while away the time drinking a couple of G&T's and reluctantly watching Emmerdale rather than fuming about the potential ruination of our dinner!

Goodness me it's quiet on the forum today, I agree with Aida, what can you say about last night's woeful episode, I am sorry, I know that there are some that like Rachel, I personally don't, her, that has been around for all of 2 mins angling her way into a party just plain irritated me and hung around like a bad smell afterwards, anyway I just thought I would get that off my chest. Back to the episode, Orangina yes her with the personality transplant acting like the big I am, pleeeeeeeeeease. Adumb shouting and arm waving along with the zombie Holly, when is she leaving? Debbie is her stroppy mood, what's different there, can't she do anything else FGS and to have her in a scene with Adumb was mind numbingly awful. Why, why why, will nobody tell the police the truth, the writers have known for long enough that weepy Miller was leaving, so why this atrocious exit. Oh now I am clenching my teeth, Cain letting it go because Adumb came back, give me strength, his daughter's business up in smoke, 3/4 people out of work because Adumb lost it, it was only one mistake, yes, there are probably loads of people in prison because of one mistake, that is certainly not a small mistake, locking someone in a garage and setting fire to it. The final scenes with Aaron and Adumb, at least Aaron managed to say thing and not fing as in Adumb's case. Laugh out loud moment was the "you've got me bang to rights" from Aaron, what writer came up with that old cliché. I seem to have managed to say quite a lot but it was abysmal and I definitely wont be watching SB tomorrow, I might do some damage to my TV, I will have to rely on others to let me know what he says and breathes

I admire anyone who manages to sit through Emmerdale these days. I know I can't - puerile nasty unbelievable rubbish just isn't my cup of tea.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh, I am literally pulling my hair out with frustration with this dreadful SL. Now they have Moira being a selfish, selfish b*tch, why does Cain owe weepy miller anything? Adumb shouting, arm waving, Rachel also being a b*tch. Weepy Miller would have been in prison for breaking his bail conditions. FGS Moira WASN'T RAPED, she gave herself willingly. Adumb grow up, you are not a little boy, you don't have to go to all and sundry before going to the police station, give yourself up, you imbecile. Even David's shouting now, Hannah summed it up, I don't understand and neither do the rest of us

What can I say about Aaron and Adam tonight

It's like the writers stumbled on some crib notes for Romeo and Juliet and a Tale of Two Cities- and while completely missing the point of both

Decided to base Aaron's exit on one part

'no greater love hath a man than to lay down his life for his friend'

One part

'flight of the weepy martyr'

And ten parts of Dumb and Dumber- but without the jokes

Embarrassing

Great posts yet again guys. I would do a multi but I'm just feeling totally uninspired by ED, I'm not even angry with it any more, it's gone beyond that. Mainly I'm wondering where this ED is that seems to exist on a different moral, ethical and logical plane than me (re Aaron/Adam/Cain)? I hear the words they speak but I don't understand.

Spot on Tinkie. Mr L and I (or should that be 'me'?) literally couldn't believe what we were watching tonight. I'm speechless - and you all know that THAT doesn't happen too often! What the hell am I watching? Where's my ED gone?

BIB: LOL! Love it

Honestly, can't believe what I'm watching.

What kind of skewed logic makes Cain responsible for what happened at the Bartons? As tinkie rightly says, Moira (to be crude) opened her legs nice and wide but most importantly VOLUNTARILY for Cain. FGS. I just can't make sense of that never mind Aaron thinking he has to take the blame for the fire and Moira backing him up!

It's so crap it's not even funny - just insulting

Seriously the writers must have been on one all mighty piss up when they decided on Aaron's exit! If someone can please explain how any of this stuff makes sense then please i need to know! I dont think there's any chance of Disco Stu giving us an explanation for it tommorow! Are we all braced for what could be an infamous interview!

I've Sky+ it but I'm going to have to resist the urge to kick my TV when he appears!

I am wondering what he's going to say though. He seems a nice enough fella but, OMG, he's killing off my ED

Thats the worst part about it he does come across as a nice decent down to earth guy but he's just not bringing it to the table ED wise!

I've just got this horrible feeling that he will quite genuinely think he's doing a great job and everyone just loves ED. And Ruth and Eammon aren't likely to disillusion him and they'll only read out the emails from nutters who think the Aaron/Adumb and Maurel sls were great. Tragic really.

After a few days off, i'm back!

There was a young fool called Sam
Who was soft as a lovely lickle lamb
His dad is a drunk,
Or so he has thunk,
But he's thicker than a tin of Spam.

You don't get to have days off from ED, it's a life sentence and you can suffer with the rest of us

However your ditty was well worth waiting for, love it, so you're forgiven

Aaron's exit is plot-driven writing at its worst and the chameron affair is plot-driven writing at its "worstest".

Bib: Phew! I'm so glad you wrote those lines, Lotty, because I was starting to think it was just me - I've never heard such incoherent, banal reasoning in my life - nor can I really come to terms with tableaus of assorted Dingles (and Cameron) and Boretons, standing around gazing at the Golden Weeper and drinking in every stupid word he comes out with as if he were some kind of Oracle.

Well - sighing - I suppose that's the 'Moira' personality transplant completed to plan - I'm starting to suspect that the 40th anniversary 'surprise' will be the revelation that the entire village population have been taken over by alien life-forms!

Where's bliddy Dr. Who when we need him?

PS: I shan't be watching Blackburn - we have a relatively new telly which hasn't been properly tested yet in withstanding having various household items hurled at it!

Besides, I'd rather tune in on the forum and read the entertaining rants - because I don't imagine he's going to say anything which bears even the slightest relationship to how many viewers feel about his progress so far!

That's what I thought but they are messing with my head *crys & sobs*, I wont be able to sleep tonight with the endless questions going through my mind. WHY ED are you doing this to me?
Just had another thought Aida, you see even now I can't concentrate, wouldn't attempted murder mean he would have to have bail applied for, more crying and sobbing
