It doesn't matter. The idea is that you should be able to adapt to anything well enough to provide ideas for anything in any time anywhere, and to have the ability to take the chosen idea to the end and sell it well.
It's very easy for me to say now, but I think the good ones would break a room down into elements and work from there.
For ex: Bathroom - cleanliness, health, safety, beauty (skin, hair and more), demographics (men, women, children, elderly and people with disabilities, and any age groups from newborn to 95), usage & design (space, productivity, functionality) and sensory (sight, touch, sound, taste and smell).
A group could work out which of these elements has the biggest gap and work from there. I think a good group could do that with
anything - tiny garden, box room under the stairs, hallway, garage and more.
