Dara O'Brien is too much and needs to go. Not enough guests speaking and it's all about Dara speaking too fast, saying too much too loudly.

Adrian was drier and more gentle with the fired applicant. Bring back the Brummie.

No I found it entertaining tonight particularly when he pretended to talk to some kids with the product.

Didn`t think I`d say this but after tonight I much prefer AC on this show.

Dara appears to think the show is all about him.

Nah, I prefer Dara. I didn't laugh so much when AC was on.

I agree that Dara is getting a bit OTT.

A bit like a bath getting hotter without you realising it and then suddenly......

In the 2 episodes so far, the Fired Apprentices have hardly spoken and today, neither did the guests.

Tone it down big man.

Yep. I prefer Dara as well. I have my doubts sometimes, but then there comes moments such as him peering through the "splish-splash" and using it as a riot shield, and I realise that he's far more entertaining...

Yeah, he did hog a lot of tonight's show. I think he's funny but he does use the show to promote his humour. Whatsherface hardly said a thing.

I prefer Adrian Chiles - he didn't make the show about himself and his humour.

Thought he was at least a bit funnier tonight than I usually find him.

But it's definitely all about him, has been since he took over. Just a series of questions that set him up for his gags. I find it a bit disrespectful to the contestants, and it's no surprise the quality and profile of guests has gone down.

Chiles was imo the perfect mix of wry humour, the odd scripted moment, and serious chat.

Obviously a very intelligent chap indeed, but Dara must be insufferable company at a dinner party or other social occasion (at least he would be for me). Bet he's a magical dad though.

Dara is way too soft on the contestants. With Chiles at least he digs a little bit deeper but yeah i have noiced he is more about the jokes on this current series so far than actual chat with the fired contestants. Maria hardly said a word all through the 30 mins! In fact the panel of 3 guests said more than Maria did! Dara needs to tone it down.

That wasn't Dara's fault. He asked her plenty of questions but she only gave one-word answers.

Dara has never been funny. He goes off on tangents for far too long and just isn't funny with them. He does the same thing on MTWeek, normally jumping on someone elses idea.

The "peering through the riot shield" thing went on way too long for it to be funny. Even the audience and guests were getting awkward.

I agree with the OP, when Dara first took over "You're Fired" I thought he'd be good as the presenter but he's just over the top on it and seems to have got worse this series. I used to enjoy watching the programme but wouldn't be bothered if I missed it in future. Unfortunately Adrian is unlikely to return unless he defects back to the BBC.

It is good to read others are of the same opinion that the show is turning into the Dara show rather than the Apprentice.

He went on and on and the others were just a prop to his ramblings. He laboured points which were not funny and ignored the candidate for most of time.

Adrian Chiles at least gave the candidate front stage and not himself. Someone should tell Dara it is not all about him.

Did the OP actually see how awful Chiles was presenting the football last night? I think Roy Keane is going to explode soon after the number of inane questions that Chiles asks. I agree that Dara does hog the limelight too much but at least I didn't have to listen to Grace Dent too much. It didn't help having an inarticulate candidate who preferred to pull faces rather than speak.

I much prefer Dara. And of course he has to 'hog' the show in the early stages, particularly when the contestant who's been fired has zero humour and very little to say. It's actually rather a tough gig

I really liked AC on this show. I like his dry humour. Dara gets on me nerves every time he does the errrrrr thing.

I much prefer Dara - those who believe that Dara thinks the show is more about him compared to AC? - pot and kettle if you ask me.

AC only left the BBC because he thought he was better that what he really was. A bit of chancer who's got shown up on ITV in my view.

Sorry, I think Dara's much better

no thanks, dara is brilliant he can only work with what is put in front of him and Maria didnt exactly give him anything, she was exactly the same on Breakfast this morning one word answers and it was a very short interview.

......and what about the other three guests on last night?

Personally, I prefer Dara over Adrian as Adrian really isn't a great presenter at all.

But it would be nice to see other presenters give it a go. For instance, I wouldn't mind seeing what Hugh Dennis (the other comedian on You're Fired yesterday) was like presenting this show.

the trunki guy got to speak at length about his time on Dragons Den and then how he became a success, grace dent no interest in what she has to say and Hugh Dennis was there to make the occasional joke.

I thought Hugh Dennis was great with his "junior riot shield" quip and pointing out that the tap cosy/pillow was on the wrong side of the bath anyway.

How anyone can advocate Adrian Chiles on anything at all beggars belief for me...

Has anyone seen Adrian Chives in HD? His face looks like its own Spitting Image caricature would look!

Dara's funny, and I love his presenting on YF. But I do wish the show's producers would stop getting his Mock The Week mates in as the comedy option...
